Thoughts on the Nissan Titan?

I'm talking about the people who without any actual knowledge of other trucks just slam them because they're a different brand. Same for the morons who write Furd instead of Ford. None of the fullsizes are truly bad these days so slamming one just because it isn't a certain brand is stupid.

It’s a pc of Crap! Believe me, I’m not like most on here, I’ve actually owned a huge amount of top tier trucks with an immense amount of experience and was not at all interested in test driving a Titan, why would I, besides being butt ugly, it’s worse in class in all fields. You’re in a GM forum, many of us may seem like fan boys to a person that looks to buying a truck based on price but most of us buy trucks based on proven reliability and not rebates though for some a plus lol. You feel better calling people in a GM Forum “GM Fan Boys” (couldn’t sound anymore stupid) Justifying lower requirements Again, GM Forum for GM Truck enthusiasts.

Chevy and GMC spoken here.

I'd say if you want reassurance about buying a Nissan go check their forums.

Pearl Harbor or not they can't be that great if not that many of them are sold here. What do they have like 2% of the market share?

They are ugly too.

I don’t have any negative towards anyone unless you’re someone interested in doing harm to The United States of America. I’ve already stated, if my truck ever starts giving me issues and being I don’t tow, I’m buying the most badass Raptor I can find lol.

I consider myself a Chevy fan. Just bought my 3rd Silverado, 4th GM vehicle. I am not beholden to them though. If I think someone else built something better, I’d buy it. I drove everything but the Tundra and F150 for a reason. But at least for my needs, no one has built something better so here I am. We’ll see what the other boys are doing in 4-5 years.

One of the managers at work has the diesel one 3/5th ton or what ever they call it. He bought it new. It has had a couple of recalls. One of which (power steering maybe?) they couldn’t fix it for a couple months cause they couldn’t get the part. Had several other problems with it with multiple trips to the stealer. Decided to drive though 5 foot tall grass and hit a concrete post took out the bumper, one fender, ect. was something like 6k worth of damage again waited on parts.

They get fair to high marks from all the car websites (Edmunds, Car Driver, ect.) but if you look at the Nissan forums or sites like Consumer Reports they score fairly low.

If you want to talk about them being Unicorns (rare/unknown) it is the Regular cab of one of these. I’ve seen exactly one in real life and didn’t even know they existed till I saw that one. That’s f’d up cause I’m a regular cab junky that’s seen or owned them all.

For those that want to know or care .

My Grandfather was in Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941.

He was a mechanic aboard the Battleship USS Tennessee . The ship was right next to the USS Arizona and took a couple of direct hits from Japanese Bombers. The ship was damaged but not sunk. It got most of it's damage from being so close to the Arizona from what he remembers. He remained on board this ship for another couple of years after it was repaired and went on to "kick some ass" in the South Pacific as he said. He passed away in 2003 at age 87. He was a great guy and worked at Northern Ordinance

( Later FMC) as a machinist making gun hardware for Naval Ships until 1977. Once a Sailor always a Sailor.

My Grandma passed away a year later and said he hated the Japs and never bought anything "Made in Japan". My mom was born in 1940 and always remembered him as anti Japanese.

For this part of my family history I never really cared for anything Japanese either.

Call me what you will but I don't really care. I'm USA all the way.

This is one of the reasons both my Silverados wear these license plates

It means that your (or my, for that matter) dad hasn't even eaten it to be able to produce.....

I personally like the Chevy becasue of the looks, handling, reliability, and its work history (dad had an old 2500). The Nissan never really struck any chords with me but after driving my buddy's truck I gotta say its pretty decent and should be taken seriously for any new truck guy.

Also ... came back to check on the thread after having some dinner and I don't know where, but this conversation took a turn off a cliff   I've had family members in the Forces (Canada) but never really took offence to any nationality or brand. I got a jewish friend with a garage full of Volkswagons and Mercedes so I guess times have changed. Power to your family though dieselfan1 gotta support the country and you do what makes ya happy.

We don’t

you’ve turned this thread From an innocent discussion about an offbrand truck into being all about you and your blatant racism. Pretty sure we all got that you dont like those damn dirty japs the first time you mentioned it but you’re still going on about it.

News flash!!!!!  You couldn’t live the life you live right now comfortably if it wasn’t for those Japs and other Asian countries we’ve been in some past conflict with. I’d bet a small fortune more than half, hell I’d even say 75% of the shit you own was made/produced over seas. So while you sit here and talk shit about them do me a favor and look at the tag on your shirt or the brand of tv you have etc etc etc and go throw all that shit out for the trash man. Because if you don’t then your a ****ing hypocrite. Now STFU and let’s get back to talking about trucks.
