2020 HD Ordering Updates, 2019 HD Production End Dates

Well if that new funky body style looks like i wont be replacing my 2006 then. May have to look at Sierra or yuck something else or get nothing new.

Order guides in the first post are for the new body 2020 HD.  2020 Double cabs start August and you should be able to order about mid June.   

 

GM will however be making 2019 HD Double cabs until 12/13/19 (ordering ends 8/23/19) to hold over demand while they ramp up the 2020 prodcution.  So, anyone wanting a 2019 body double cab still has time.   

 

If you are talking 1500 double cab old body (2014-2019 body), those stop orders 7/26/19, and production ends 11/1/19.

Ok, help me clarify if you can. I’m wanting to order a 2020 AT4 so my only color options are anything with a 3,4, or 5, correct?

Also, Summit White has no number but its a primary color so that should also be an AT4 option, right?

3 and 5 are "not available at start of production", so unless you're wanting to wait until it becomes available....and we don't know when that will be

 

For now, might be easier to think of 1, 2, and 3 as unavailable.

 

So, currently only 3 are available to order on 2020HD 2500 AT4:

To be added in future, but date(s) unknown:

Thanks! Current truck is Red Quartz and while the color is super deep and clear when clean it’s almost as bad as the black for showing dirt!

I’m really interested in the Brownstone Metallic but I don’t want to wait past YE 19 to buy (gotta beat the tax man)!

Just curious. We placed an order for a 2500HD sierra on the first of April.  One of the things we ordered was code "PTT" for the trailer tire monitoring sensors. Looking at the Ordering information posted on this site it appears that to use it you need the (U1D)  In-vehicle trailering app to be installed from the factory.

Looking through all the codes on the primary order sheet we received from dealer, I do not see the (U1D) included. 

Any idea if it could be added once it gets to the dealer or if ordering the (PTT) automatically adds the (U1D)?

Haven't ordered a new car since we ordered the 66 Pontiac and at that time everything was a line item with out all the packages. Almost made it simpler.

What trim level is truck?

 

PTT         Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors, includes set of 4 sensors. Sensor functionality requires (U1D) In-vehicle Trailering App to be ordered with the vehicle and installed by the factory. Sensors will be shipped loose with the truck and will need to be installed on trailer by customer. System is capable of monitoring up to 6 wheels. Additional or replacement sensors are available through GM Accessories
 - on SLE - Requires (ZL6) ProGrade Trailering System or (PDQ) Preferred Package.

- on higher trims

 

U1D is a 'ref only' rpo code; meaning it doesn't get listed on order sheet; (comes with a trim level or included with some other added on option)

PTT is always an option so needs to be added  

 

U1D    In-vehicle Trailering App, System, includes checklist, trailer maintenance reminders, trailer security alerts, trailer mileage, tow/haul reminder, trailer electrical diagnostics and Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System module
- on SLE - Included and only available with (ZL6) ProGrade Trailering System or with (PDQ) Preferred Package. Includes trailer tire pressure monitoring alert ONLY when (PTT) trailer tire pressure monitor system is factory ordered and sensors are installed

Where is Satin Steel Metallic like on the MY19 All New 1500 Sierra?  I wanted a 2500 AT4 or Denali in that color.  Dam It Man.  I have Ebony Twilight Metallic Denali now so assume that is the same as MY2020 Carbon Black Metallic.

It's only the same if it has the same RPO code.

 

Carbon Black is shown as a new colour, and as not available at start of production.

 Carbon Black Metallic    GCI    WA-621D

 

Ebony Twilight was new for 2019 -- but is a different RPO  (GB8) and touch-up (WA-384A)

 Ebony Twilight Metallic     GB8    WA-384A

 

 

They could be similar, but paintshops will need to know which one they are matching....

 

Some colours get used for years, bu it's also not uncommon for GM to use colours for only one year.

 

And to further complicate it, chev and gmc often (but not always) use a different name for the same colour code. 

GB8 is Ebony Twilight on Sierra, but is called  Mosaic Black Metallic on silverado.
