Proportioning valve mods

Recommended Posts

I'm kinda tired of the nose dive tendancy on my Silverado, has anyone tried to modify the factory proportioning valve yet?

I use to own an old caprice and they where known for the 60/40 dive braking, surely someone on here has heard of the "Impala bolt" mod for proportioning valve on the old 90-95 Impala and caprice cars?  after doing this trick on the brake valve, it was like night and day difference in stop and go traffic, made the car more enjoyable.  something our Silverados need!

I've never looked at the braking system on this truck so I don't know yet if it has a weight sensitive proportioning valve.

I know my rear brakes wear out quicker than the fronts.

My truck doesn't dive much on braking, maybe you should be happy your front suspension actually allows some compression [emoji4]

My rally cars (years ago before marriage etc, etc) had an adjustable valve inside the car but that was easy plumbing with no ABS etc.
