2018 Silverado 1500 leveled on stock rims

Recommended Posts

Anyone one have some pics of there leveled truck on stock rims with 275/60R20. I searched through the thread but pics are hard to come by, and a lot of mixed reviews of rubbing and no rubbing. Looking at going with the trailFX 2.25 inch level in the front and going to 275/60R20.

275/60r20, rubbing on sway bar. 1.5 motofab level, which is closer to a 1.75 level. Would rub worse the higher it goes. It’s definitely hit or miss though, I don’t rub on the passenger side, just the driver side. I almost think my sway bar might be a little further to the left than right, but not sure anything can be done about that. I did grind a little down where it was running and that helped some.

This picture is on my stock tires, but a better shot of the level.

I just don’t understand how guys on here I’ve seen pics are running that tire size on stock rims with no level and no rubbing doesn’t make sense.

Leveling actually increases your chance of rubbing on your UCA’s and sway bar. If I wasn’t leveled, I wouldn’t have any rub.

2.25 RC level with BFG K02 275/60R20 only had rub two or three times backing up with full left lock. Can not duplicate now. Rubbing only occurred backing and tires were brand new. That was last October, truck only has 3,458 miles as of today, it had about 50 miles when these tires went on. ***Sorry, I just now noticed it said Silverado, sorry about that***

What year is your truck? Aluminum UCA’s?

Never rubbed the sway bar only the upper control arm. I had stock stamped steel and now tough country replacements, both rubbed.

It’s crazy how varied people’s experiences are. I’m stamped steel as well, 0 rub on UCA but bad rub on sway bar, driver side only

2018, stamped. It only rubbed those few times while backing out of my neighbors tight driveway and it was FULL left. It will not do it now, I was trying to duplicate it and see where it was rubbing after reading a few posts where people had rubbing all the time. Put a little grease on the ucas because I couldn’t even see where those two or three times I heard it actually rubbed. Nothing, nada, ziltch. So yes it’s varied from truck to truck, tire brand and size. Not complaining, next set (going Grappler) may rub.
