Tire Size Help - 285/70/r17 or 33x12.5 R17

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I just bought a 2018 Silverado LT so new to the scene. It currently has the optional 20 inch wheels. I plan to level it with 2-2.5 inch spacers. Today, I ordered Method NV 305 17x8.5, 0 offset. I also ordered Toyo M/T 285/70/r17. I ordered them at the 4 wheel parts discount expo thing they put on. I got pretty good deals on both I think.

My question is, would a 33x12.5 r17 Toyo M/T rub? I like wide tires based on look and function too, so now thinking about it and researching more, I can't find an answer if it'll rub or not. If there won't be issues, I may call and have them swap the tires before they get shipped (which may be soon). Thanks

I don’t know about the 0 offset but I had a lot of rubbing with Duratrac 33x12.50r20 -24 offset with 2.5 RC Level.  I had to due a good bit of trimming it get them to fit.

Interesting. Thanks for the input. I did take delivery of the 285's (4 wheel parts delivered them way quicker than expected). I haven't mounted them yet so still deciding whether to keep them or not.

I just installed Method 315 17x9 with a -12 offset.  Mine stick out 3/4" more than yours and all I had to do was pull the fender liners back with the zip tie mod.  I am only running P285/70R17 tires, but the wider 33x12.50R17 on your wheel should be fine considering the wheel does not stick out as much.
