Sulfur Smell

I own a 1995 Chevy K2500 with a 350. It makes a sulfur smell when the engine is working hard. I had my mechanic look at it and he said it may be the catalytic converter. Well, they ran a test on it and the cat was fine. I am not losing any antifreeze, but it does take a little bit of oil (not much, I think it's normal).

Anyone have any ideas?

I've always heard of that smell being the cat.....ar you sure no one farted in your car?????

I have always thought it was the cat conv. You can get some stuff at the parts store to stop the smell. But, I can't remember what its called.

Over time "working" under heavier than normal load and running too lean (or at times too rich) will burn out the catalyst and this is what you are starting to smell now.
