I know any new model will have "some" issues, and also a forum is where the worst of the worst will show up but it seems like an awful lot of issues to me.

Comments?

I'm thinking a 2020 here as I never made a deal on a 2018 and I'm fine with that.

I came out of an F150 for my 2019 AT4. Trust me, the issues dont stop with the unveiling of a new model. Every model year has issues. Ford had been working on door locks that would freeze and either not latch correctly or open for the past few years. Just to name one. I think quality in general, over all makes,  has gone backwards but thats just my opinion. Still happy with my new truck though.

I agree.

All of the automakers have gone downhill on quality. Problem is the Prices keep going UP!

That's the direction  most all manufacturers, not just auto makers have been going in the past several years. Cheapen things up and charge more for them. Say they have to do this to remain competitive. I just left a manufacturer that I was with for nearly 40 yrs and the quality of product is vastly different than it was when I started.

Greed's belly is never full. Competitive? Yes they say that and what a misuse of a word.

They're also raising complexity beyond their ability to support and maintain, let alone training dealer techs to do the same.

Combined with shorter product cycles, there's just no time to refine or train to perfection like with the square body generation lasting more than 20 years.

Things are different now.  Trucks are more software and firmware than hardware.

In my opinion, electronic and mechanical parts are not good friends, specially when they are built in different ranges of tollerances and based on different standards and regulations. Now add building parts in different countries with different cultures!

I don't see any solution for it, except the current trial and error mechanism and fixing the bugs.
