My 2017 GMC Acadia homelink garage door opener, the red light on the console will not light up and I cannot program the garage door... lt was working for a short time before it stop operating the garage door.  I tried to reprogram but the red light on the console doesn't light up... I checked the fuse associated with the garage door opener and it is good...what  could it be...  everything else works, map lights moon roof and all other buttons on console is working properly

I have a 2020 trail Boss, let me warn anyone who has a Genie garage door opener , follow the specific directions on YouTube or you will never get your opener to work. You have to program your opener to the truck then use the learn feature on your garage door. Spent a hour and a half trying to figure this thing out!

I’ve tried for days.  This works.  Connect the remote first.  Then use the learn button.  Worked first try.  Thank you ShanePoki

I paired my Craftsman opener when I bought my new place. I pressed the learn button on the opener and held the truck button until the door closed.

problem programing Homelink on 2024 GMC AT4.

Homelink Rep phone response

1. Went through homelink/GM programming procedures for Chamberlin Liftmaster. Bothe handheld remote and "learn" button: Didn't work

2. She said remove LED bulbs from Garage opener, LED can interfere with signal. Didn't work

3. She said the hand remote I had, probably an aftermarket from years ago, was not compatible with homelink, I'd need an actual Chamberlin Liftmaster remote (haven't gotten one yet) However the remote I have works the garage opener perfectly so not sure why that's an issue.

I have a 2021 Lexus that programs immediately using the learn button

I had a Ram PU that programmed immediately using the learn button

So I haVe a 70k (MSRP) GM vehicle that the garage door opener won't work.. very disappointed in GM

It's because you bought a cheap GMC... JK

Anyway, I have Chamberlain and it programmed easily for me. At this point make sure you clear what ever you attempted to program. Then put homelink into programming to learn the remote. Once that's complete go to the Chamberlain motor and hit the program button and hurry back to the truck and press and keep pressing the button you want to use until the door starts closing. Done.
