Longest Running Truck? (life expectancy/problems)

Curious to know who in this forum has the highest mileage truck. Just took delievery of my new 2018 truck with the 5.3 V8 and 6 speed tranny and wondering how long I should expect it to last? Coming from a Toyota with about 350k kms I have set the bar pretty high haha. Feel free to post the year of your truck with the # of miles and what repairs/replacements you have done to date. Trying to get a little thread going about mileage and what people have been able to get. Since this is a 2014 forum I'm not expecting massive numbers, but I know some of my friends with Rams that have had engines and transmissions break down at 50k-80k kms (moment of silence for Ram owners) Ford seems to be doing a bit better in terms of major issues. If you search there are many threads asking or running with the same topic on high mileage trucks. No thoughts to this truck lasting any shorter than the Toyota. We usually keep our GM trucks 150k+, not a concern this wouldn't do the same if taken care of like any recent vehicle. Just drive it and enjoy it, people get lemons and any random thing can happen to anyone, doesn't mean you will go unaffected but chances are good you will. Either way the search feature will take you to numerous threads with the info you seek.

Don't beat the tar out of it . Change oil and the rest of fluids regularly and maintain it like the owners manual says. Follow these simple rules and you can expect 300,000+ miles without even trying. And I'm serious as a heart attack.

Not a 2014- 2018 but I had an 86 Scottsdale that had 410,000 miles on it and I drove it to the junkyard. That's no lie. Chevy's will outlast all the others guaranteed .

Show me a Dodge with 200,000 miles. Ain't many of those around . If they are they're so rusty they are falling apart.

Ford ecoboost , I don't think so either.

If I thought the others were so great I'd be driving one.

Case in point.

I had a 70 Nova/ 350. Set up for 1/4 mile racing. Also my DD.

Ran it hard.

Wrenched on it a lot.

Thanks guys, I don't expect any problems with the car and like others I will take care of it. Its just that browsing the forums it seems like a transmission rebuild/replacement is almost guranteed at 150k kms. Is this just me browsing the forums too long or is it an actual issue? I've also heard some nasty things about the cylinder deactivation causing some issues too. I do drive to some pretty remote areas and would like to have the piece of mind that my truck is not going to break down unexpectedly.

Every vehicle built in the last 30 years starts needing something fairly major at 150k to 200k kms, even the most reliable Hondas and Toyotas.

Blanket statements are dangerous. Two of my three Hondas went over 200,000 miles (322,000 kilometers) before I changed a timing belt in them. Second one went 200K miles on OEM plugs. The third had a defective block Honda replaced NC that currently has about 140,000 miles on the remanufactured short block with the original head on it. Replaced some injectors in the Toyota around 225K miles. Buick/Pontiac 3800 (series 3 motors with alloy intake manifolds) are legendary for trouble free operation even maintained by idiots. Ditto GM 4300 V6's are in that camp. Dad's iron 4300 went over 700,000 miles replacing but a water pump.
