It reprograms the hydronic system to add more pressure and make up the difference at low speeds. Never had an issue with my brakes until they got ahold of it. How long after the flash did your pump go out? Do you think there’s any connection between the 2?

I can't seem to find when the vacuum pump was replaced but found that the flash was done in Oct of 2019 as part of a nationwide recall. Before that, no brake problems. It seems like it was within a year I had to have the vacuum pump replaced. Are they related? Most likely. But did the flash cause the issue? I doubt it. There was a problem that GM was aware of which resulted in the mandated recall. IMHO  GM cheaped out and just tried to "fix" the problem by doing it the least expensive way they could with the software flash.

I have a 2017 1500 LT, similar issue (just the infotainment system). I saw a YouTube video about tightening a wire connection behind the glove box. That fixed the issue for about 30 days. I am now looking at a replacement aftermarket system. It is very frustrating when using GPS and the map just randomly moves 100 miles in any direction while at a stop light.

2018 Silverado owner here.   My screen will change the view and my

MPH reading will go into song names on its own.  Also it my phones plugged in and this is happening (not daily yet) it will mute my call I’m on off and on every 2-3 seconds.  Also my AC is not blowing any cool air.   Just out door air.

Same issue here. Very frustrating. Hate just throwing money at it. Seems to come and go and I considered an aftermarket unit but I was hoping there was a definitive fix.
