Heated seat lights not working

Recommended Posts

Just bought this 19 chevy 1500 two days ago. Today, randomly, the heated seat lights stopped working. The seats still work but the lights are not showing for front or rear. The cooled lights work. Any suggestions??

If you have your dash lights  turned all the way on lowest setting the heated seats light don’t work. Maybe your problem?

Yep had the same issue for a couple months, dealer couldn't figure it out either.

Gm recently released a bulletin about it.  Design oversight by the engineers I guess.

Simple fix once you realize what was causing it.

I also turn my dash lights all the way down when driving at night. I noticed it the first time I drove at night and the seat heater button did not light up just as outlined in the above posts. Just make the dash lights slightly brighter and the heater button lights will turn on. The seat heater stays active even when the button lights are off due to the dash lights being at their lowest setting.

Mallory-  Any luck solving this issue?  I've got the same truck and problem.  Any help solving is much appreciated.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but it works, when your headlamps are on the dash lamps dim, and if you have them, turned all the way down, those lights will actually turn off so if you want to see the light indicators turn your dashboard intensity off, and you will see them.
