Build Sheets requests. [email protected] no longer provide

Recommended Posts

Just a note,  [email protected] no longer provides this info when you contact them. Several people have reported back after being denied.

If you're interested in a build sheet for your vehicle:

Contact your local dealer with your VIN and request one. This should include a bit more info than just RPO info

Try emailing [email protected] . Request a decode from them

I'll admit I was skeptical of the email route.  I received a response pretty quickly.  The build sheet answered my questions about a few RPO codes I couldn't find.  They were basically related to fleet ordering.  The sheet even has the build date.

Is there a difference between the build sheet from the dealer and the emailed one from [email protected]? I actually used the chat on chevrolet.com and provided my VIN. The chat agent emailed a build sheet to me for my truck before I went to the dealer to purchase it. It was a used 2012 Silverado. I received a basic build sheet with only the RPO codes and descriptions via email within a few minutes.

I think there is a limit on how far back they can look in their system for that info before its achieved by a outside vendor.   Most likely once the oem warranty on the vehicle has expired.

They went back nine years for me and this time I was looking at 7 and 8 year old K2s.

Or for RPO only info, use this and decode yourself (Thanks Sparksalot)
