Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 vs ?

Recommended Posts

I had Revo 2 on a Nissan Pathfinder many years back and really liked them. I have Cooper Discoverer AT3 on my 2500 currently and love them. Very quiet and are wearing well evening towing a 33’ camper from MD as far down south as FL. Would buy them again without hesitation...

I bought a set of Michelins today. Never had them, the price was always out of my range. I decided to send it, since I have a Sears card that's 12m no interest on major purchases from when I bought a refrigerator, and 900 over a year is a no-brainer.

Blows every other tire I have ever tried entirely out of the water. Good lord they drive nice. It's like glass.

Michelin’s drive nice for sure. Had them on a few of our vehicles including my wife’s Yukon Denali. I think they have figured out the issue with sidewall cracks that we had a few years ago with the LTX m/s on several sets. But I will say my Coopers are just as smooth as any Michelin tire we’ve had over the years...

What is chalk testing?!?

Lot's of google hits for it. Been doing it for years. Basically run a wide bead of chalk or semi-wet latex paint across your tires. Run the car 1-2 car lengths and look at the wear. If the chalk rubs off on the outer edge- your're under inflated. If it wears on the center- you're over inflated. Get a good, even wear and your tires will last a lot longer.

Trucks, sports cars- doesn't matter. A good chalk test tells the story. I just paid $1,300 bucks for my ST/Maxx's- you betcha I'm doing that.

What do you think of the Revo 3 in comparison to the RH-S (I have those now)? I noticed on Tire Rack, Revo 3 appears to be better. On Bridgestone's site, RH-S looks slightly better on their scale.

Sorry I did not see this until now.  I think the RHS is a decent tire, but the REVO 3 will be better in wet, off road, and wear.  The RHS may be slightly quieter, but the Revo 3 is still not loud.  Both seem to do well in snow.
