We have been thinking about adding these OEM fittings as a standard option to our GM Truck Catch Can kits.  Let us know if you think this would be an advantage.

Thanks!

Huge advantage. I bought connectors on my own. Makes for a very secure, yet easy to remove connection

The lack of OEM fittings and reports of questionable hose quality on you rubber hose is the main reasons I went with the UPR catch can.

Thank you and we will always use UPR OEM plug n play™ and full UPR 300psi Braided Hoses that are made for fuel, oil, and E85 at no additional charge. We got away from the cheap rubber hose years ago and never looked back. We go through a few hundred thousand feet of UPR 300psi Braided Hoses a year and have it manufactured private label by a few of the largest manufacturers in the world. We won't allow the quality to suffer just to cut corners for profit. We're always working on continuously improving all our components and fine-tuning our catch cans airflow and coalescing properties.

Our latest revision has improved airflow characteristics to deliver a better scavenging effect for maximum crankcase evacuation. This improves ring seal and delivers the best all around performance and we already have the most advanced filtration system that performs just as well in the heat as it does the cold mounting locations. We are not like all the other designs that require colder locations to give the best performance which actually creates a placebo effect and generates a ton of condensation and additional water that you have to drain.

The UPR design is meant to be mounted in hotter locations to keep the catch can warm and reduce and even eliminate unwanted condensation and time lost emptying the catch can frequently from all the water buildup. This is where a catch can design comes into play as the filter size and airflow is what is tuned to deliver the very best coalescing and condensing in these hotter environments. UPR made sure to give you a system that will control unwanted oil and reduce the need for emptying it all the time.

It's nice to see how we continually force the industry to update their offerings to stay competitive. A few companies copied our billet check valves all the way down to our custom hose barb design and have even conceded to OEM fittings and possibly braided hoses. We have so many great new offerings and updates and are always striving to improve our quality and still be able to maintain or lower our retail prices.

Sorry to rant as I have been away for a while as my father has been going through prostate cancer and I've been by his side helping him get through this very tough ordeal. My father is the man that drove me to create UPR and always strive to deliver the best products. Our products praise and accomplishments are what we've been able to share with our fellow enthusiasts on more than just a business level. As we are no different than anyone else always looking to share and give our industry and community some incredible options and prices.

We have some great Black Friday and Cyber Monday Specials going on currently!

Hope everyone had the BEST Thanksgiving and or Holiday with their family and friends....

PS, I've been having a Blast on my latest creation that I bought and have completely gone through and updated and redesigned the suspension and

Lipo battery system. 45mph and goes 150-miles. Drove it to work today and then I'll meet my son later on his Bike and we ride for a few hours

through Bike trails and Bike parks in the area. Yes, we are also very respectful of the people and other riders we ride with.

.. so I've read thru the 35 pages of this thread now as I'm new to both DI engines and catch cans.  My personal preference right now is towards the single UPR solely based on the fact that I want OEM fittings and I do not want to add clutter or obstructions to my engine bay (thus no CSS). If elite offered OEM connections then I would consider them as well. I would like to mount the can towards the firewall but I would like to mount it on the passenger side out of the way. Does UPR offer longer hoses to allow passenger side placement?

Well...I ordered one from a different company (no name bashing gonna happen) and was told I would get OEM fittings, it's taking a while so we shall see. If not I will order my own. Starting to think I should have gone with another brand as I've been waiting a month now. OEM fitting are a definite advantage and I hope they all adopt this offering...too late for me but to anyone else, ASK BEFORE YOU BUY.

There is a drop down to select the sizes in this listing and we have the following sizes and they come

in 45° - 90° - 180° fittings in all the sizes listed below.

3/8" x 9.89mm

1/2" x 11.80mm

5/8" x 15.8mm

Hope this helps.

Joe

.. this is good news.. I will keep Elite on my radar as well.

One thing I find curious is why none of the brand name manufacturers offer a solution with an integrated sight glass/tube to indicate level within the can but it is nearly impossible to find an industrial air oil separator without one.

Would be nice but my guess is most people who care enough about installing one will check it regularly, long before it is even close to full. Maybe a quality plastic vs glass, remember the glass fuel filters, when those broke you'd best have a fire extinguisher close LOL...but you are right, it would be a nice option!

Send me a picture of the kit you have installed on your truck and I will take a picture with sizes of the fittings you need.

Thank you, Joe

Thanks Joe, I don't have it installed right now but it's a simple one line to the front of the engine and one on the back right side system. In / out.
