Nice

Mine just showed up at the dealer. I am having painted door handles added to mine and the trim around the window wrapped.

That's awesome. So sounds like they do have painted door handles to buy? I didn't see them on the parts website yet.  Any chance you can get the part number(s) and share the price?

They don’t have part numbers my dealer is painting a set for me that’s what they have to do supposedly. Doesn’t make sense but oh well [emoji1743]‍[emoji3603]

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. Once you get it with the door handles and the trim post some pics up. It'll probably motivate me to do the same. Ha

Nice. I thought you had just placed an order. Still working through a few frustrating issues on our 2019. A Brown Out Booster solved the start stop power off issues that gave the radar detector fits. GM has to do a software update to solve the 8-4-1 cylinder deactivating bumps. If not, it will be tuned out once the warranty expires. The lack of oh crap handles above the doors is still getting to me.

Here's what I've found while doing the same to my truck -

Window Trim - black

84550107/84550108 - upper portion of front Driver/Passenger doors - needed to get rid of the 5" chrome piece by the mirror

84543760/84543761 - lower portion of front Driver/Passenger doors

84543758/84543759 - lower portion of rear Driver/Passenger doors

84550589/84550590 - vertical panel of rear driver and passenger doors

Window trim isn't hard to replace, you do have to remove the inner door panels in order to remove the upper window covers to get to some T-15 screws - these covers do have those PITA clips that never come out. The upper trim on the front passenger and driver door do have 2 rivets each, one at the end near the top(under the gloss black vertical cover) and the other at the front of the door at the tight radius under the triangle piece where the old mirrors would go. Otherwise most of it is fairly straight forward.

Handles - paint to match, with passive entry (push button on handle)

13526767 - Qty. 2 Handle

13526766 - Qty. 2 Handle

84496193 - Qty. 3 Cover (rear portion of the handle)

84496227 - Qty 1 Bezel (front driver, has opening for door lock)

Haven't gotten to this yet, but the handles do come with a paint to match cover, which looks easy enough to pull off and replace, same with the cover/bezel; only problem is you can't simply order the cover itself, you have to order the whole handle.

Really good info. Thanks for this.

Do you have pics somewhere?

Hopefully in a year or two you will be able to get the RST with a 6.2. I will be in the market then. Seems dumb for GMC to have the things we want on a Chevy and can't get. Not sure I would pay HC price when you are going to take stuff off but I guess that is what we do. I am sure the interior options are different on the new HC as well so probably not a bad idea in the way you are thinking.

New HC's are very nice. I love the bronze accents in the grill.

Yeah, its def annoying, but it's mostly small aesthetic things that just rub me the wrong way. I'm a fan of body colored everything.

The High Country interior is a step up from the RST for sure. Perforated leather, ventilated seats, nav comes standard, etc. Standard bed liner as well. Once you option an RST up with all the stuff it is the same price, plus you'll get more with the High Country as well. Loaded RSTs are not easy to find either.

However... like you said, if they made the RST with the 6.2 I'd be in that.

One thing that the LTZ and High Country get that is important to me is the power folding mirrors. Seems silly but I have a very tight driveway opening to the rear of my house and it is helpful since this is also a daily for my wife.

Plus, incentives are really good on high countrys right now.  It was like $40 more per month on the lease for the high country with the 6.2 vs a similarly optioned RST. No brainer.

So I went out and took a look at the truck after reading this, but I realized that there isn't any reason for me to replace (or wrap) the upper pieces as they are already black. I am assuming you took them out because you put those shade things on?

I see a torx screw on the door of each that appears to be for the bottom window trim piece for each door. I am assuming once that is out they pop off like the previous gen trucks did. However, the small piece up near the mirror and the vertical piece on the rear doors have me a little puzzled. Do the door panels need to come off to reach those pieces as well? Or do the panels only need to come off for the upper pieces?
