What did you pay for your truck?

Recommended Posts

I just pulled the trigger on a new AT4 1500, Pacific Blue. It is in transit, so no pictures yet. Not much room for negotiation due to low inventory, and the popularity of the AT4 package. They seem to only be on the lots out here, at most, for 3 weeks.

I don’t have a complete breakdown at the moment, but:

MSRP: 64,500

Price: 54,000 (included GMC rebate, and healthcare/first responder) + $75 doc fee (down from $499), then the standard tax/title/license (tax out here is over 8%). I also am having them throw in a cover for free.

Overall I was hoping to get them down to 50/51k, but it just wasn’t going to happen.

Can you please put it in a format we can all relate to?

MSRP

Dealer Discount

GMC Rebate

First Responder Rebate

etc....

GMC cash allowance is $6,000, estimated first responder $2,995 so the rest is dealer discount.

Thank you, I don’t have the paperwork in front of me to remember the exact breakdown outside of the cash allowance, I was more focused on the overall price and having them figure out how to get there. Once I get my paperwork and pick my truck up, I’ll get an exact breakdown for everyone.

An additional reminder, since they couldn’t/wouldn’t come down as much as I would have liked, I did get them to give me the warranty and paint protection near cost+$200, so just a reminder that those items are negotiable as well.

Too much! But, I had to have one! Broken trans 4 months in, dealer has it a month, GM says too bad buddy. Dealer added some nice scratches on the hood/fender area too from whatever. Stuck with it for 3 yrs now-lease, fk it, let it fall apart. Had many Silverado's before this one too. Very disappointing!!! And seeing all the other or same issues with these new trucks?! Not worth the price of entry! But I need a truck, don't know what I get next.

Gotta pay for all the freebies and other people's folly my friend.  I lived in SoCal for 3 1/2 years and wouldn't go back under any circumstances!

GMC Sierra 1500 Denali CarbonPro

MSRP 71,700

-4,200 first responder discount

-6,000 rebate

-750 FCA conquest rebate

Total 60,750 (10,950 off MSRP / 15.2% off)

Inventory very low, they weren’t willing to negotiate much other than rebates (told me it would be MSRP minus rebates until I mentioned first responder as in they aren’t doing any additional dealer discounts).

Love the truck.

That's sound advice. I just arrived less than 24 hours ago, and I'm frustrated by all the stupidity in SoCal. I could go on a rant here, but will spare everybody. It was either SoCal or DC, so I decided on the swamp with less stink. Fortunately, it's only 3 years, and I have no obligation to become a California resident and start paying those ridiculous California taxes. Even my truck will be registered elsewhere.
