What did you pay for your truck?

Recommended Posts

Traded in my 2015 Yukon today on a 2019 AT4 w/Technology package in satin steel metallic. Got it for 12% below MSRP. Definitely could have gotten to 20% off the SLT but that was the lowest any of the dealers in my area were willing to go on the AT4. But it's exactly what I wanted and got the price I was looking for on the trade so I'm happy with it. Glad to be staying in the GMC family too!

^ Nah just need to find a volume dealer. The one I go to does about 30% off without negotiations. Nobody else around will even match them much less beat them. You get less friendly service, they don't try to butter you up or spend time chatting but their prices are what they are. My sales girl I keep going back to told me they don't even get commission, they get paid a $50 bonus no matter what vehicle they sell and then bonuses based on how many they sell.

$50,000 truck for $35,000 really??? What dealer is this.  GMS isn't that good.  Are these current model year or "old" new stock ie, 2018 new in a 2020 model year.

Yep, they really do these prices and they are posted on their website. Holiday in Whitesboro TX. I've purchased 2 there and the prices are not a bait and switch tactic. Often times you can get even more off than they have advertised just by asking. Here's a link to one of the first that popped up on their page after I applied the filter.

I took the 0% for 72 months on my truck which cost me almost 4k in bonus cash and I still ended up with 20% off the MSRP. It saves me a little in the long run and I don't gotta refinance.

EDIT: Here's another, RST all star with 15k off.

People fly in to buy from them "or so I'm told by other dealers." Granted some of their trucks that are more desirable have less advertised discounts but they are more than willing to haggle through email.

Not quite Apples to Apples, but 2019 Silverado RST Z71. Sticker was $50,345. Purchase price was $35,845 (+$289 doc fee) with all the incentives they threw at us. The catch is this was a loaner vehicle for when your vehicle is in for service, so it had ~2500 miles on it. Still titles as new and retained all remaining warranty, so we took the money and ran. ~28.8% off. Pretty happy with it.

Well im gonna give a leaseing a try, all the tech in these trucks has me thinking id trade in not to far after warranty anywayz, no dealers would dealer trade with my dealer 4 a 19 AT4 i would choose, they had a 2020 on the lot speced exactly how i would get one,  taking the check on my 16 and walking away from the tranny shutter, seems like i got a gr8 deal but honestly have no idea it just fits what i want to do

Please mention model and if it was after taxes etc.   Taxes can be another $5k so that's going to make a huge difference.

Deals were better in 2016.  I got almost $16k off sticker for my 2016 LTZ.  This time I was only able to get a little over $10k off my 2019 LTZ.  No state sales tax where I live.  There was no trade-in either time and both trucks were brand new with 12 miles on the odo for both of them.  Hard to believe I'm getting a better price in Alaska, where there are far fewer dealers.

What kind of prices are you guys paying for your AT4s? I’m not seeing huge discounts, only around 10-15% off, but I’d love 20% off. I know demand is high for these things though.

Also, when do you think the 2020s will be seeing some price drops? I know they’re brand new, but I’ve only seen $5k off on them. I heard the suspension had been retuned slightly and, of course, the adaptive cruise control is supposed to be in them.

I’ve been experiencing the same challenges per buying a 2019 AT4. Laura GMC in Collinsville, IL (supposedly, the leader in volume sales of Sierras) is firm with the $59,500 MSRP reduced to $50,200 ($9,000 or so discount no matter which AT4 you get) plus $189 doc fee (very reasonable) plus whatever taxes (depends on the individual’s state of residence). Serra GMC just north of Nashville is offering a similar percentage discount.

So, from what I’ve seen, it looks like 10-12% is about as good as a person can do - right now - on a 2019 AT4. Does anyone have better info / results they will share? I was hoping to get 15 percent off an AT4. Not sure that will happen for a few months.

Another member of the forum just got a new Dmax 2500 for $58,500.  The MSRP was  $70K.  Sounds like a decent deal to me.   The original offer to the dealer was $56K.  Dealer countered with $59,900.  Deal was settled at $58,500.   That is about 83% of MSRP..  Pretty good deal.

Best I’ve found is 16% off on a 2019 AT4 and around 13% off on a 2020. But that dealership will absolutely not budge anywhere else. No negotiations and the trade in value is low - one of the lowest offers I’ve had on trade in since I’ve been looking, so it’s working out pretty similar to everywhere else.

Heads up, if anybody is super serious about getting something, go this month. Incentives haven’t changed in a while and will probably remain the same next month, even with the strike. Plus, September has apparently been an AWFUL month for car sales, and these guys are desperate to hit their numbers. My local-ish dealer has been begging me to come in to get an AT4. My wife and I looked at a new Blazer today and, no joke, they were begging us to take it home. They had us with 20% off of MSRP, and it would’ve been $2000 more if she qualified for the trade in allowance. Even ended up adding 38% on top of what the trade in was to get us to bite.

Very good, helpful info, HBKidJr. Thank you. Wonder what the discount would be on a Yukon?
