What did you pay for your truck?

Recommended Posts

Crawled all over a at4 today at buffalo auto show it was awesome, and the denali right next to it, i think the at4 is just a sweeter setup, but i gotta say some things just arent as nice as they should be, got in a fx4 platinum and the interior feels so much nicer,  plastics and seats, but still love the at4 better so i have no idea whats gonna happen

Looking at trading my '16 LTZ for a '19 RST Z71 with Leather, Bose and Safety Package. Local dealer is offering up to $15,000 off MSRP, bringing the $54,xxx stickered truck I'm looking at down to $39,000. I'm expecting some kind of tricks since the offer is *UP TO* $15K off.

I'd love to have a Sierra AT4, but they're out of my budget.

I looked at their website, wow! That's the most aggressive internet pricing I've seen yet by far.  I'd be really surprised if anyone would qualify for all the rebates their stacking...probably have a GM manifest (mystical rebate nobody can seem to achieve), plus trade allowance on top of loyalty, etc.  Worth a shot though let's hear about it!

I'm going to give them a call later this morning to feel them out before I go down there. If they won't lay out for me what the rebates are exactly and If I qualify for them all before I come in, I will likely pass on them. The RST is not my favorite trim, but at that price, it would be hard to pass up.

I found a couple of good deals on Sierras as well. $13,000 off this gorgeous Denali

I may end up pushing my budget up a little to get the Trail Boss or LTZ Z71 I really want.

Cary, NC. The dealer offering this discount is Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh.

Wow... those prices on Sir Walters are by far the best I have seen, $10k off of LTZ \ HC trucks?   There has to be a catch or they are just trying to get you in the door?!?   Please let us know if that works out for you, it's good to use against other dealers.   I know I"m taking those prices with me shopping this weekend!  hahaha

Maybe that's what President's day pricing will be like?

This is from their website:

Price includes: $2,000 - Silverado 1500 w/PDU/PEB Incremental Consumer Cash. Exp. 02/28/2019, $1,500 - GM Down Payment Assistance Program. Exp. 02/28/2019, $500 - GM Charleston, Jacksonville, Knoxville, Louisville, Raleigh and Richmond Auto Sh. Exp. 02/28/2019, $2,000 - GM Lease Loyalty Towards Purchase Private Offer. Exp. 02/28/2019 $1,000 Enjoy a discount from Sir Walter Chevrolet if you have a trade-in vehicle. (Included in price) Exp. 02/28/2019 $1,000 discount when financing through Sir Walter Chevrolet. Included in price. - Exp. 02/28/2019

Looks like there's a $2,000 lease loyalty rebate, which I will not qualify for. Everything else it looks like I should qualify for. Obviously, I'll have to finance with GMF at their lousy rate, but I can refinance after 90 days with my CU as I've done in the past.

I've noticed a few other dealers have a $2,000 loyalty rebate for just owning a '99+ GM vehicle, I'll have to talk to them about that.

Just got off the phone with the sales guy. The truck I'm looking at (and all those with $15,000 off) are service loaners. He told me that the truck was just recently put into service and only has about 400 miles on it. They will honor the $13,000 off without lease loyalty. I'm going in tomorrow.

Their KBB deal says my '16 LTZ Crew Cab with 22,000 miles is worth $35,800 trade in (In Very Good Condition, which my low mile garage kept truck is). I'm going to hold them to it, as I'm expecting them to try and ream me on my trade to make up for that big discount. :nono:

Let us know how that works out.   Good luck!

Most dealers don’t use KBB, they use Galves and Auction pricing.

Well, went and wasted two hours today (most of that spent sitting at a table by myself waiting on the slower than dirt sales guy). The RST I originally wanted didn't have the Safety Package, which both I and the salesman, thought it did. We went and took an LTZ for a test ride instead. Sticker was $58,xxx, they were willing to give $8,000 off without lease loyalty. They then added back almost $3,000 worth of "accessories" (Cheap tint and nitrogen in the tires aren't accessories). They were willing to give $32,000 for my trade. Numbers just didn't work out to where I wanted to be.

I did decide I want an LTZ for sure. I was on the fence about the RST because of the deal, but I should have known that if I was having second thoughts, it probably wasn't right for me. The hunt continues... Maybe I will wait a few more months to see if the deals get better, or maybe I'll start looking at dealers out of state and see what they can do.
