FS: K2XX - 8” Red Screen, 2.5 HMI (Nav), Radio, and WiFi Module

Red GMC - 8” Screen, 2.5 HMI (with NAV), Radio Module, and WiFi Module.
 
I had this screen installed in my truck but decided to go back to blue.
 
So I am selling this screen that has the Red Radio and HVAC Controls that are on Sierra trucks. As you know, GM changed the color scheme for late 16 and newer trucks.
 
NOTE: if you currently don’t have 8” screen, this will not be a Plug and Play situation as the components will need programming and wiring done to retrofit it. I don’t know all the details on retrofitting but there are several threads on GM-Trucks.com
 
If you already have an 8” screen and simply want to swap from blue to red, it will be plug and play.
 
Selling this as entire kit and don’t want to separate.
 
$500 shipped/insured (UPS) anywhere in the US.

Yes - This is how it is accomplished. Programming is needed for the HMI and Radio Module.

The HMI is a newer HMI found on 2016+ trucks. Needed for CarPlay/Android Auto integration and if you’re looking at gaining newer features, this is the hardware needed to get started.

@pgamboa  How do you know if you have the 2016 module?  Mine is 2.5 version with navigation, but I don't see CarPlay or Android Auto.  Do those have to be programmed onto it?

2.5 HMI should be CarPlay. There some older 2.5 units that didn’t have Android auto as that was released later that year.

Thanks Phil.  I'll have to take mine out and recheck it.  When I checked with the re-programmers, they said if it's the 2.5 I may have to change the Radio and USB.  Does that sound correct?

Sounds about right. The USB ports that are triple or have the SD card slot are it car play compatible.

So I just got this pieces I have 2014 Silverado wondering if I can just plug n the WiFi/Onstar thing or what, my truck doesn’t have it but I just got the hmi cluster and Onstar/WiFi module only need the radio module now, if I plug n the WiFi module will that give me WiFi n my truck or how does it work?
