Silverado HD revealed

Recommended Posts

It is always good to see GM compete with the other companies, however trying to compete for the ugliest looking HD truck with Ford is not what we had in mind. At least the headlights make sense on this truck versus Ford's C style headlights. It is marginally better looking than the SD. Marginally.

If the grille bar was centered, with the turn signals in their current place, with one headlight on top, and the other under the bar, it might not look too bad. If the bumper didn’t swoop down on the ends, and was either straight across or raised up on the ends to take away from the massive glob of lights it would look better.

I think that's worse.

This is a great example of how we all look at design changes.  We all have different opinions which is a good thing!  I really like the looks of the new HD and enjoy the way people try to suggest ways to "improve" the looks to satisfy their personal tastes.  Some design changes simply take a while to become popular and I suspect this upgraded HD will be well received by the truck buying public.

Looks like GM pulled a Hail Mary out of it's sleeve and redeemed itself.

That's definitely way better than the first pic they released. Either way I'm still not a huge fan, I ordered a new 2019 Friday to get me through this design stage.

If anybody wants to buy a mint 2016 Duramax loaded with 22k miles let me know.

Yuck. The High Country is less ugly, but still ugly. And, I hate the idea of having to buy a top of the line trim level just to have a truck that's only a little ugly, instead of a lot. Looks like my low mileage (and still good looking in my opinion) 2016 might be staying in the garage a bit longer than I planned.....
