Code p2098

I was running 91 and about 3 weeks ago I put in 87 not sure if this is the reason the code came on. Not sure if any of you have had the same problem truck only has 30000 miles 2015 gmc sierra.. Anyway should I take it to the dealer? Or is this something I can fix on my own?

I am taking my truck in next Wed 8am. When you say additional support. Do you mean discounts because im sure im going to be paying an arm and leg just to get it fixed. But I do know that emission warranty should cover part not all but some am I right?

I would PM him, even if he was to extend some sort of discount to you...well imagine the expectations a lot of people (myself included) would expect down the road. O2 sensor and unless you have the 6.2 you don’t need 91-93 so I don’t think you did anything wrong except maybe paying too much for gas...

Yes I agree, when we do everything we think should prolong or Baby the vehicle only to have it get sick...well that sucks no matter who you are. If it’s just the O2 sensor, I bet you’ll be taken care of. Best of luck!!

Bump. I’m having the P2098 code as well and this is one of only 2 threads I can find across the internet for our gen of trucks. Any updates to this cause?
