Oil pressure normal after oil change

My 2 cents.

The oil pressure sensor will work or it won't IMO.

 

If the oil sensor screen is plugged you need to change your system of oil maintenance.

This plugged up screen is a known issue and is due to extended oil change intervals, poor quality oil or filters IMO.

Once the oil is saturated with junk and can't hold anymore junk the junk is deposited in the engine.

 

I would try this,

Do a motor flush with Sea Foam. Directions are on the can.

Easy, cheap.

What scares me the most is the OPs statement that he did 2 filter only changes at recommended intervals.  Unless you are running a bypass system there is no way you should let you oil go that long.  Even with a bypass system I'm not sure if it's a good idea.  Have you ever set a sample in for analysis?

I should clarify...those two filter only changes were roughly 2000 miles apart while the oil life monitor was not yet calling for an oil change.  The 2nd oil change in this series was done at the suggested interval as indicated by the oil life monitor.  Put another way...I didnt reset the monitor at the filter only change.

Because you're posting in the K2 2014-2018 forum, not the GMT-900 (07-13) forum would be my guess. Gen IV engines took the PF48, the new Ecotec Gen V engines take the PF63.

I can find a PF48e for 4.99 but the PF48 is like $15.  Is there a problem with using the PF48e?

My 2013 Silverado 1500 requires the UPF63R. I had the same issue and the dealer had a bulletin for engines that had the low oil code. I had the sensor and screen replaced and it did not help. The UPF63R fixed the problem. I know this is an old thread, but this fixed mine
