Amp power steps

Recommended Posts

Not sure why pic is sideways but that’s the height of the steps when door is opened on my 2019 LT Z71. From the floor board to the ground it’s 23”.

my 2014 LT is 22” from the floor board to the ground and are 9” to the ground as well.

They work well considering my kiddos are all under 5’ tall and have to jump into the truck.

Do you guys have more info on the install? any instructions? can't find them on AMP web site.

Install isn't hard at all. Bolt the steps up and run some cables to the battery. I did it by myself. Didn't try to rush and had a couple barley pops. Took about 2 hours.

ok cool.. the instructions tell you where to pull through the fire wall?  And I also believe they require you to drill a hole in the floor?  Guessing the instructions lay this out pretty well.

Theres nothing to pull through the firewall. No hole needs to be drilled in the floorboard. There is a plug under the drivers side where a brake line runs though the floor. You can just punch a small hole through the rubber and push the wires through. The instructions are clear as to what you need to do.

Any more pics installed?

Also I see on the AMP site there are 3 different models. Powerstep, Powerstep XL and Powerstep Extreme.

Living in Michigan, the winters can be harsh at times, think the Powerstep will be fine or should wait for a Extreme version (rated @ -20 and 2 motors per side)?
