I see people talking about that. It seems rather daunting to be using a spray can under an entire truck. 20 cans and 4-5 hours?!?! There’s got to be something else.

I'll be honest here.  I've been a Ford guy for a while and when I saw the latest redesign of the Silverado I said "finally they figured it out".  GM brands have been lacking for decades in my opinion, as far as styling goes.  When I met my wife 17 years ago, she had a blazer.  Probably 5 years ago I looked at a Chevy and I swear It had all the same damn switches and knobs.  Also the bland front end has been a hallmark of GM for the past 20 years.   I'm glad they took the leap of faith in styling, they brought a former Ford guy over.  Full disclosure,  I am waiting to see what they do for the 2021 F150,  I just got a deal I couldn't pass up
