That is an awful commercial. A more honest version:

"We have so many options, most you cant afford!"

"Want a 6.2? Too bad were saving it from most of our 8 options... Too bad you work truck loser."

"Want to learn about our other engine options. Too bad, its a secret. Oh but dont worry they wont be available in the option you want."

"Want to see the interior? No you cant its amazingly new and not cheap just believe"

By GM's order guide, these 8 are the current chev trim levels for 2019:

Work Truck

Silverado Custom

Silverado Custom Trail Boss

LT

RST

LT Trail Boss

LTZ

High Country

6 more for gmc: (sort of; one is double cab only and one is crew cab only)

Sierra
SLE
Elevation Double Cab
SLT
AT4
 Denali Crew Cab

So does that make 14 trim levels?

(we all know sierra and silverado are just different trims of the same vehicle)

Not much of a commercial, very sedated, no theme, no commentary, I do however like the CUSTOM with CHEVROLET across the front with body color grill. I like the Trail Boss CUSTOM but don't like the black front grill. I would lift the CUSTOM and get all terrain tires with black out wheels. If that is I was in the market for a new Silverado.

Want adjustable pedals? Sorry, it's not offered in our new 1500 trucks. However, you can find a used base model 2005 Malibu that has it. WTH is GM thinking with all the de-contenting? I hope they fix the blunders on the 2020 HD trucks and freshen the 1500s.

My daily driver 2001 Ford Taurus has power adjustable pedals LOL

Also, GM ditched the turn signal indicators in the side mirrors on T1.

Yes! Someone said it would interfere with the BLIS indicator. Not buying that. They worked fine together on the last gen trucks and still work together today on the SUVs.

I believe they are trying to make the maximum amount of profit on each sale, not simply trying make the highest number of sales.

Was thinking the same thing, exactly zero information about the trucks or why I would want to buy one.

The biggest problem is that the truck looks boring in all the trim levels.. it lacks attitude.. It is boring to look at... Ram looks.. better.. Ford looks.. well.. blah.  Crapota Tundra.. looks.. decent.. Nissan.. looks.. silly.

The slipping sales will continue and the max profit per sale will be useless as more people turn away. Not a good business model when trying to gain market share.

Believe you are correct . Read somewhere GM stated these trucks are ''value engineered '' to maximize profits for Ma General.

Actually prefer ford trim line a lot better. You have standard version a chrome version and sport version which is body colored. You can’t get these version ok almost all their trucks. Gm just seems like they have their head in the sand.
