I think I may have a very hard time not going to prison if I catch somebody messing with my truck. 

I feel you... in Ohio you aren't allowed to shoot someone in defense of property, but you'd better believe that if I can catch them in the act, they're going to get warning shots until they stop moving, then my bat is going to get some action.

 I saw on the news the other day: Some guy was banging on the front door trying to break into the house. The owner came out and shot a few rounds to scare the guy off. Cops showed up and arrested the guy for attempted murder. He is locked up, awaiting trial. It was all captured on the home subservience system, and is going to be used as evidence against him. The criminal that filed the complaint walks free.

That's nuts!  Not how it should be.  If someone is beating down your door, you should have full authority to do whatever it takes to stop them!
