I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I would say testing that method would tell you if you have that option...smh

I was at work idiot. Was wondering if based on the trucks package If it had it. You must have a pathetic life to scour GMC forums for 2 week old posts so you can comment and try to sound like a smart ass. I wish I could be that cool.

Clearly not. I’m too busy being an adult than going on forums and commenting on 2 week old posts acting like i’m some hot shot. You’re what I like to call a douche.

My wife drives a 2018 S5 Sportback.  The reverse flow turbo 3.0L V6 and 8 speed ZF are pure magic.

And to stay on topic..... The remote mirror fold is nice in the fact that it takes two button presses.

A "reverse flow turbo"....mmmmmm k.  Twin Scroll ring a bell?

Reverse flow (comma) turbo. The engine is reverse flow with a “hot V” turbo setup. The intake is where the exhaust normally is and vice versa. Provides better packaging and a much shorter exhaust path to “both” sides of the TWIN SCROLL turbo. ?

the lesson here is that when you troll the internet looking to correct someone you don’t always know what they were originally saying. Maybe they left out punctuation for short hand internet talk?  It’s very easy for the teacher to become the student.

The owners manual talks about an SD card for navigation. Anyone know what trim level is needed and where to get it?

The SD card just has the map data. You have to have the components for Nav, and the card would already be there. If you have the Bose system and larger screen, you have nav.

Just because you have Bose and the big screen does NOT mean you have NAV.  It is a separate option.  However, if you do have those items your unit can be upgraded to NAV at the dealership via software.

2020 LTZ 6.2 Silverado

More of an observation vs a cool feature.

The lowest mpg I can achieve when I stomp the pedal is 2mpg and the highest mpg is 99mpg when I take my foot off the pedal, according to the display. LOL

The HUD is a  cool feature.

Sorry, just bored in Illinois under current lockdown. :(

Yes. “Big”.

Truck needs to have the card reader present to be nav capable. Not all 8” infotainment has the card reader. Easiest way to check is to look for the reader. On trucks without console, it’s on the same piece that has the USB ports on the lower dash. Console trucks have the reader in the console USB piece.

I have Bose and the card reader in my center console. Interested in this "software" upgrade for nav. Does the truck already have the nav antenna installed?

The first part of your post is correct. The second part is false. I looked into this back in August. GM abandoned the upgrade program. It is no longer available. The only way to upgrade to factory navigation now is via aftermarket. I did this with MVi. It ran about $650 after I got my core charge refunded. I went with option #2. Their website is www.gm-navigation.com.

I will stick with android auto maps from my phone at that price. The nav in my 2008 Vette is no longer supported and no updates are available. It's been that way for a few years.
