Crazy to buy a new body style 19 right now unless you have no patience. They will be like the 18's now with 12k+ on the hood to clear way for the 20' this time next year.

Why is it crazy?

Doesn't Every Apple lover run down to the nearest store, Camp out on the sidewalk and eagerly await opening of the store doors to lay down their hard earned cash

or credit card for that brand new Apple iPhone they must have???? !!!!!

Lol, well for one iphones don't cost 55+ grand on average and yes it's crazy to spend 12k more for something to just have it 12 months sooner, or atleast imo it is!

The point of my post was not financial, but the fact that people are driven to rush out and buy the newest item on the market.

Have you ever seen the Jim Carrey version of "The Grinch" This movie sums it up. The Grinch points out all the Who's in Whoville that

max out credit cards at Christmas time buying gifts which end up being junk in the landfill ( The Grinch's Home)

Whole point of the movie or story. So like phones or anything else there are those out there that Must have a new vehicle often.

Again, kudos and to each their own. I do not discourage it. Just like to poke fun at the matter!

I've been waiting on Canadian pricing too. I get the discounted pricing through my employer, so invoice plus 1 or 2%. My last truck was a factory ordered 14, MSRP was 62.3k and ended up  paying 49.8k+tax.

I have my eye on these 19s either the denali, at4 or high country. But if MSRP is in the 80s i doubt I'll be getting one. Waiting to hear back from salesman what the MSRP vs discount will be for all x3.

I live in the Edmonton area and have found one LT Trailboss listed at $67,875 and a RST around the same price. They have no other info on them and they might not even be on the lot yet but these are the first two examples I've seen advertised in my area. Of course I'm not continually scouring all dealers either so there could be more.

Go figure. I paid 37,000 before tax on my 2010 SLT All Terrain, my 2015 SLT All Terrain is basically an identical spec with the addition of the 6.2L and the sliding rear windown, with incentives it was 59,500 before tax, I almost walked but my 2010 was starting to have paint issues. That's a 61% increase between the two generations, to be fair they have some amazing incentives in 2010 after the bailout. I hope people don't pay these prices, if they sell like garbage the first couple years they will wake up and be reasonable. Inflation is 7% per year, not 30-60%. My wage doesn't grow as fast as these truck prices. I probably wont even be able to afford a top of the line AT4 this round without massive incentives. On top of that, reliability and electronics quality has taken a huge step down, these trucks are problematic to keep after 5 years. Why pay more to get less? There are more 90's Chevys on the road then there are 2001-2007's, they get thinner and lighter and cheaper every generation yet we pay more and more to the point of craziness.

So I went by my local GM dealer. They had what seemed to be a fully loaded Trail boss LT. A loaded GMC AT4 and a sierra elevation x31 crew cab with a short box (guess they started making short box elevations now)

All of which he didn’t have the prices for yet. He told me to check back next month. Apparently GM Canada will be offering incentives already.
