We have the new and improved version of that tractor it is an early 60's 140 series the biggest difference is that it has what was to be the farmers greatest work saver a 1 point hitch. All of the pulled implements are attached to the tractor with a pointed bar that slides into the back of the tractor in the hitch and when you pull back foward it locks into place to unhook, just raise the lock up and pull away from your implement. International also used a 2 point system on some of the bigger tractors of the time, this was before the 3 point hitch became a standard for equitment mfgs. :P

This is how it was when my dad and grandpa bought it.

Aside from the obvious cosmetic restoration it needed a valve job, new disributor, new coil, new front tires, and replaced the generator with an alternator. It had a few stuck valves in it. We have the original owners manual and on the last page it says the engine was rebuilt in July 1970. The bottom end is still the same since then and it still has very good compression and now it runs like new.

You wouldn't happen to be interested in selling the front cultivator tool bars off of that would you? I have a friend who has that same model tractor and is looking for the front tool bars.

Sorry not for sale. Thanks for the comments. :P
