had mine since august and faster I go smoother it is....cruise at 70-80 mostly and its butter

now we do have a few fwys that have lanes with bad washboard type rollers and truck moves around a lot but I noticed same in other trucks and cars as well, move over one lane and its fine.... but on a decent road or lane it rides very smooth....

this truck is very deceiving I have noticed, it feels like your going 40 mph but look down and am @ 55 mph......this has happened quite a bit first few months

2019 1500 LD. Not only does it hesitate under light accel, but I just took it on the highway today for the first time and it shakes like a @#%$& at 60+. Been a Chevy fan for a long time, but these trucks suck. 200 miles and it rides like shit. My 2007 1500 was far better this this one, even with 120K miles.

Just bought a 2019 silverado 1500 z71.  Shook annoyingly my entire trip...felt like a constant slight annoying shudder...as if I was feeling every tiny miniscule bump in the road. Is this normal?

Did you figure out what the problem is yet with yours?

Picked up a 2019 Denali Ultimate in December 2019. truck has the  275/50/22 Bridgestone Alenza tires. For the first 400 miles I never had it out on the interstate  or above 60 mph I was just tooling around the 2 lanes in the local area. Wife did complain that it did not seem to ride as smoothly as my last 4 GM trucks.

At a little over 400 miles I made a interstate run and between 68 and 74mph  the steering wheel was violently shaking and the entire truck was shaking. Never had that before on a New Truck and I have had 4 New GM trucks in the last 5 years.....  at 500 miles I took it back to the dealership that I bought it from (Beaman) and they would Not work on it. The service adviser said it had to have over 1000 miles before they would re-balance or check anything to do with shake or vibration? They actually said it was "NORMAL" and blamed it on me for not driving it more said the tires were flat-spotted from sitting. Even if they were flat-spotted wouldn't they straighten out after 10 or 20 miles? I have a rather strong negative opinion about the service guys at my purchasing dealership LOL they do have a good shuttle service though.

I called another local dealership and told them what was going on and they said to drop by and they would check it. I stopped by today (Truck now has approx 600 miles) and they did a road force balance and it is better than before.  I now only have a shake at between 62 and 65mph. Cannot be felt in the steering wheel seems to be coming from the rear.  Road force balance shows the right rear could not be brought into spec so I guess that is what is still shaking. They asked me to drive it for a while and see how it does. I guess I will call them next week and see if they will order me a replacement tire unless it magically fixes itself.

Pic of the work order from today "below" they said that all 4 tires were out of balance and all started at over .080 on thier machine (whatever 0.080 is?) Readings after re-balance LF 0.019  RF 0.021 LR 0.028  RR 0.052 this is the one that the could not get within spec. (said it was barely over the spec?) but not sure what these numbers indicate or what is spec?

Discount tire will install a new set of Michelin Premier tires for $889.00 (some tradein value on the Bridgestones) with lifetime balance and rotation. If I was 100%  sure that new Michelin's would actually cure this issue I might just go that route................. So BIG Question is how many members here have the 19 or 20 Denali with the 22" Bridgestone Alenza tires and how are they doing for you? Anyone actually went to a different tire and cured all shake issues? Sigh I am probably the only one in the entire GM truck forum nation with this issue. I guess my luck ran out on this 5th GM truck.

Anything over .020 you are most likely going to feel. These tires are terrible in my opinion, I have the 20” version and have the same issue.

I think the Michelin’s would be money well spent and usually discount will work with you that if you aren’t satisfied and it doesn’t take care of your issue they will take the tires back.

Also something to try is have discount tire match balance them to get the road force lower, if you find a good tech there they are usually much better than the techs at the dealership.

Thanks for the info Hotrodz37.  I will do some internet research on the road force balance spec. It took the guys at the dealership over 2 hours to get the tires this close it looked like they were rotating the tires on the rims a few times.

I am pretty happy with Discount tire I bought their rotate and balance lifetime package for my $6,600.00 2009 beater ride Tahoe 4x4 with +220k miles that I bought used about 1 1/2 years ago. It has a 3" lift / aftermarket Mayhem wheels and oversize Nitto Grapplers installed by the previous owner. Discount Tire was able to make the ole "HO" ride great and have kept it good every 5k miles for over 25k miles.

I could buy the Discount tire package for this new truck but it does not sound like these tires could be balanced out no matter who does it?

Not sure what to do right now, i might see if the dealership might be interested in working a GM deal for credit etc on a nice set of Michelin Premiers to make a long term customer happy (doubt it LOL but does not hurt to ask)

They tried the same bs with me too with the bald spots. My truck has had the shake since I purchased it. They have now changed the tires twice fromnthe road force being out so bad from tire wear. My suggestion is to keep taking it in and if it continues hire an attorney. If you have to many miles on it for the lemon law then sue under the federal warranty act. Also get all road force test results on each tire. Does not sound like different tires will fix issue. Do you have the Goodyear tires on now?

The truck has 275/50/22 Bridgestone Alenza tires on it with approx 600 miles. I may stop by my local Discount tire store today and see if they will guarantee a maximum amount of road force if I buy a set of Michelin Premier tires from them. If they would do that and trade the tires until they get a great road force maybe it will work out.

I am thinking the road force needs to be in the mid to low teens to be shake free on these trucks? Or maybe there is another issue going like a driveshaft or axle issue but how can you possibly diagnose with known bad tires on it?

The truck is drive-able now, but that big smile that I get when I fire it up quickly disappears into a frown when I get on the road and the 68k beast is shaking like a $500.00 beater ride with square wheels and tires......

Personally, I would not do anything to the truck yourself. It really sounds like the same issue I am having. Trust me..keep taking the truck in for service. I believe the road force should be around 14. My tires have been 30-34 they 2 times they were changed and it still shakes. Just waiting on the settlement now so I can get into another vehicle.

You feel more like a wobble then a shake? Very annoying above 60? Mine is so annoying that I've been driving my other car.

OK guys I am going to try something different thinking "outside the box" this morning.

I just called Bridgestone warranty department directly (yes they actually answered the phone on a Saturday) I was told to take the truck to one of their local branches and have their people check the tires for defects. I am going to give this a try.

I have an appointment for next Saturday at 7:00 a.m. to drop it off at a local Bridgestone location.

I will try to remember to keep the thread updated on how this works out after the visit. Cuz if it is smooth as glass I may forget LOL.

If you don't see any updates after next weekend hit me up. Have a great week and Feb 29th LEAP DAY.
