Does anyone know

Recommended Posts

My question:

The new SS has the white SS badge, as seen below, on the plate in the area above the airbag switch. I would like to find a replacement plate that has Silverado, or something to that effect, on it in white to go in that spot. I think it would look good with my white face gauges.

Anybody know if there is company out there that makes them or where to find them?

I havn't seen any kind of Silverado plate, but I've seen small bowtie decals in any color you could ever want and various places. I had a red one there on mine for a little while.

Hey Tom, you don't by chance remember where you got it from do you?

I guess I could always have Decal King make something up for me but I would really like something that is hard plastic and is raised instead of like a decal that you apply to a window.

Thanks!

I got it at one of Earnhardts souviner trailers at Darlighton when we were up there for a race. I've seen them in NASCAR souviner/collectible stores as well as at the parts counter at dealerships.

I'm not sure how big they are, but here's a couple (one red, one blue) raised bowtie emblems that fit the grille of the older Impala SS's. They are just stick on. They are on page 2 of the Exterior Parts section

Thanks for the info and the link, Tom!:jester:

I wish they had a white one so I could buy one and try it!

The search continues................

Victory Red - Thanks for the link! Just so happens that I have been to their site many times. My father has an 85 C4 and he is not real computer savvy, so when he needs to look something up he asks me to help him on the site. :jester:

I'll have to look further into the flags. I never thought of that and you're right, that would prob look pretty good! Thanks for the tip!
