Disappointed with 2019

Recommended Posts

Next truck will probably be a RAM.

Seem like u get more 4 your money with a Ram or F150.

GMC truck looks better for now.

YES on the Rear Air Vents.
However, they did take away the turn signals in the mirrors and also No Adjustable Pedals on higher trims.
Rob from Peter to pay Paul i guess......
Pushing the Radiator back to engine allowed the engineers to reduce the front overhang for visibility.
Even though the overall length of the trucks increased.

Drove a 19 Denali today, drives really good and love the hud and rear view camera mirror. Just too much bling on the outside for me.

Noticed any vibrations or did that problem get fixed

That’s because they’re cheaper.

That logic could be applied to any option to release in the last 50 years or longer.

Umm, it’s the tailgate of a truck so assuming tailgates haven’t been replaced by something else from the factory in order to keep cargo from sliding out I’d give a thumbs up to Dans quote. Personally, we ALL made fun of Ford/competitors when they came out with fold out handles but in retrospect, I think it’s a 50/50 toss up on it actually being useful. You never know how much you enjoy having something till you’ve got it [emoji6]

I’d also like to add that I’m out in field 90% of the day (when I’m working) as well as my staff and personally see absolutely zero use for this new gadget type tailgate. I’m thinking it’s a distraction, psychological warfare distracting you from the new bed, giving somewhat more worthiness of its newly designed body that has found an enormous amount (if not more from previous redesign) of discrepancies. In my opinion, GMC makes the best quality vehicles, period and better GM to come out with a gadget type tailgate first rather than competitors. Besides, I’m wondering if a few years of ownership the new plastic mixed with carbon fiber fibers will warp and then what? I’m absolutely loving my 18 more and more.

I never thought much of adaptive cruise until we rented a car this summer that had it.  It's truely an awesome option and I'm not one to get excited about having every option available.

I have found it to be especially useful when towing a travel trailer. Though people will dart in front of you in congested traffic, it's nice to have something that may react faster than you can.

I would think adaptive cruise control would be the last feature you'd want to use when towing? Unless the truck increases the braking force because it knows youre pulling a trailer?

adaptive cruise control would be nice.. .but can be scary at the same time. Some 2019 RAM owners have reported their truck just slams on the brakes (at high speeds) for no reason. Could you imagine...scary for many reasons, especially if towing.

I think I'll wait a few more years on all this self driving stuff...

I’ve got the adaptive cruise control and yet to experience anything other than great performance. Dodge/Ram is absolute garbage and You shouldn’t compare a Dodge/Ram to a GMC product lol.

Correct, it adjusts for what you are towing. You control the spacing you'd like to keep, but it adjusts the braking distance and also applies the trailer brakes, if so equipped. It's not a prevent-all, but it cna be very useful, especially in heavy traffic, when towing.

Yeah I wouldn't base your opinion in adaptive cruise on a Ram/FCA version of it.  They have a habit of offering unreliable and defective versions of...just about anything.  Their best bet would be to buy the tech from someone else, like they did transmissions.
