2" Level VS 2" Rear Drop Shackle

Recommended Posts

So, I have been throwing around the idea of dropping my front end back down to stock, and adding a 2" rear drop shackle, to "level" it.. while keeping the stock ride.

What are y'alls opinions?  It already has a 2" MotoFab leveling kit on it, but the ride has suffered somewhat.  Will the 2" drop shackles hurt the ride as much as the leveling kit?

My truck is a street queen (disregard the setting of the picture, lol.. I was at my grandparents), so I'd like it to ride like one.  Also, with dropping it to stock and adding a drop shackle, it'd be low enough to get rid of my running boards, while allowing my wife to get in without too much hassle.

What say you?

The  examples both look good!  Tough choice.  Have you tried it stock?  I bought a level kit about a year ago that I have yet to install.  I have grown very fond of the stock look with a little rake and my truck rides like a '90 Sedan DeVille!

Yea, I had it stock for the first month or so I had it.  I liked it, but at the time had 20s on it too, so it still didn't ride as smooth as I'd had liked.  Now that I have 18s, I think there would be more comfort in the ride.. but don't want to drop the front down to stock and add shackles in the rear, if it is going to ride equally as bad as a leveled front end.
