Then, you also paid a premium for the truck.  Did you even negotiate on it?  I'm looking at a random Chevy site right now in another browser window and they are selling brand new 2018 crew cab, 4x4 LT's for $34,000.  Heck, even the CC LT Z71's are only $36,000.

It's relative on how the LT is equipped. They can get up there in price. My 2017 LT+ (Z71 midnight edition DC, All star, Bose, leather, 4x4, trailer package, io6 w/NAV, factory spray bed liner, rear slider, adj pedals, ect..) stickered at $51,180.. I paid $41,800

That sucks. It is imperative that you properly examine any used item that you plan to purchase, be it a $500 bicycle or a $38,000 truck. Although it sucks the dealer snuck one by you, you signed the papers. I have a $18k Shakerado beater that I signed the papers for, not GM's fault.

The 4wd alone is where they get you, very much worth it though.

Well how do we know the dents didn’t come from the guy you pay to wash it...........

Did you done get a Carfox on it? (as if eveything shows up on those anyway)  Insurance claim already paid out by previous owner(s) got paid to fix it but said F the roof can’t see it anyway and pocketed the money to pay the deductible? Then you really got screwed by the dealer........

Where did the dealer get this truck? Must not been a local truck if you don’t get hail in Vegas (course that’s assuming they are hail dents and not just dents for only God knows what Top Golf parking lot comes to mind). Was it bought at a dealer auction? Maybe the dealers buyer doesn’t climb in the bed of the trucks he bids on and stare at the roofs but the dealers owner thinks he does. In that case you both got screwed......

Anyway if you come back and read this thread OP unless there’s like 50+ dents that are barely noticeable it shouldn’t cost you anywhere near a grand to fix. Find a couple paintless dent removal guys that are self employed and get estimates there’s a guy around here that does most simple small dents for 25-50 bucks a pop and does a damn good job. A good PDR guy will also be able to tell you if someone eles already “fixed” the other panels if you really want to know. Also I would seriously look into trying the dry ice in the sun method first if there’s no broken paint or hard creases it works on a fair amount of dents. I’ve had a fair amount of success with the cheap body suction cups but I’m betting your dents are to small + you run the risk of turning a innie into a outie easily with these anyway.

If your just going to trade it on a new one anyway why even bother to fix them? What’s the odds they will even look at the roof? And after you trade it if they call and say HEY this roof is all dented up you can say must have been that way when I bought it SORRY......

Then isn't that an LTZ?

No.. LT.. LTZ have different standards like led head/tail lights. The LT has HID headlights. There are some other ltz features also.

You’re Absolutely correct, so many people on these forums will claim minor differences between LT and LTZ which is untrue. I’ve got a completely loaded out SLT with the 6.2 and have had countless morons tell me that their 5.3 is as powerful as the 6.2 or if they use E85 it’ll be same or faster, LMFAO! Last week a guy at a service shop said he’s got leather too but didn’t pay what I paid, ummm ok? Package upgrades are UPGRADES for a reason that includes much more than anyone cares to look into once you cross their price comfort zone. You’re right though, especially now with the 19, want the whiplash 6.2, well, you’re going to have to UPGRADE and NO, E85 IS NOT going to put you in the same category [emoji23]

The best place in town wants $800 and another one wants $400 but is not as reputable but is well known. And you are right I bought the truck in phoenix but it was originally owned in Utah. I know they get storms. Apparently they have to remove the inner headliner.  I might just call it a day and leave it as it is and try my luck.

And I thought about that but the way they are located it is unlikely I dont see where the benefit would be for him to put dents into the roof. Not accidental though now way.

Chevrolet did nothing to the OP. The dealer did nothing to the OP. The OP didn't see the dents. The dealer quite possibly could not see the dents. Heck, the OP didn't see the dents until all the stars were aligned. I'd be pissed too.... at myself. It's called wisdom. Maybe next time, OP, do your due diligence before signing....

Thanks...

It's a must in New England.

I know I lives in Minnesota something as simple as  going to the corner store for milk can become an ordeal if you gotta go up a hill after a snow storm.

elamigowapo: Just a side note: Years ago, I wanted a sports car. An Austin Healy was being sold in the paper. I HAD to have it. Didn't do much "inspecting" except sit in the seat and drive it around the block. Come to find out it had a bad valve cover gasket, plus needed brakes and tires just to pass inspection. As a 17 year old, I lost my butt. Took me months to recover from that to where I could even drive again as I had little money. Oh well, fixed it, drove it for a year, sold it and bought my first truck. Life goes on.
