Return of the Chevrolet Blazer

Saw this on a local news website so a bit surprised I didn't see anything on here first.  Well maybe I am just blind.

Looks like we won't see a full sized 2-Door Blazer.  Bummer.

It has the fish face like the 2019 Silverado.  Bummer. But it doesn't look terrible..  just boring.

The industry always copies popular designs. Add the stinger engine and Kia warranty they sell like hot cakes. Ah wait a minute it’s called a Sorento. Back to line one.

LOL fish face 2019 Silverado? I see a spartan helmet. I thought I read that the designers were going for a spartan helmet outline too.

For a crossover it looks alright to me. For what it's worth, from the beginning rumors said that the Blazer was going to be a crossover, but a BOF SUV. The interior borrows heavily from the Camaro, which is good because it might help spread the cost of making the Camaro and keep it alive long enough to fix the 2019's ugly mug for 2020.

In a way, the front end, this thing resembles the Porsche Chyanne, BMW X6, Lexus and Toyota Highlander, and even the Mazda XC9.

I wish them great success, keep the American auto industry moving. In the same note, there are those that want a much more stout and utilitarian vehicle such as the older K5 Blazer and the Full size Bronco. I loved them both but did enjoy my Eddie Bauer Bronco much better and especially being able to take the roof off.

If they would only make them again.  Imagine if they offered a limited run of original looking K5s made as utilitarian as possible to comply with government regulations or maybe even get a waiver so they could dump the airbags and all the other garbage that loads them down with weight?  That would be cool.

I’d love to have my 18 interior in that older body style, LED lights WITH Airbags, today’s HP, yeah baby!

Lol....

Well it sounds like it's meant to be a direct competitor to the Ford Edge/Flex, and both of those crossovers are insanely inflated in price. This is meant to be a "premium" midsize crossover for Chevy.

Here's Chevy Dude's take on pricing:

He sells a lot of GM vehicles, so if it makes sense to him then it's probably filling a real need.
