Hyper Flashing

I forgot to ask, what is the DIC? I'm sure there will be many off the wall answers to that.

The DIC is Driver Information Center. It is the small screen between the tach and speedo.  For what it's worth I had a set of aftermarket lights similar to yours.  Also had problems with hyper flash.  Got rid of them and installed factory led taillights with adaptor harness and have no problem for over a year.  Best of luck!

Phil, I installed the old light and found that the battery gauge still drops down to 11 but it doesn't affect the blinker. Does a gauge dropping down like that mean that I have a bad battery?

Thank you for the info.  mine only hyper flashes when the battery voltage drops down. Other than that it works fine so I'm wondering if I have an electrical issue as the battery still drops down and then comes backup to 14 after a while.  Or maybe it's the battery.

Sounds like an electrical issue. With the factory light installed, does it hyper flash at all?

If no, then you might have 2 issues - faulty tail light and an electrical issue/battery.

With the factory tail light in it does not hyper Flash at all. But I have tried 4 different LED tail lights and they all have the same issue. So that makes me think it's only an electrical problem or battery itself. Each of the LED tail lights were brand new

Hi Everyone,

I am new here. I just bought led tailight bulbs for my 2017 Silverado 1500.

I also bought the plug and play resistors 50W / 8 OHM’s

Here is the issue:

When the headlights / taillights are off (ie daytime) there is no hyper flash when signaling, 4 ways / hazards, or when my foot is on the brake and signaling.

However, when the headlights / taillights are on (ie nighttime) I get 3 signals and then hyper flash & warning on the DIC. This is for the right and left. Flipping the bulbs or the plug in play connectors does not help.

The front signal bulbs are still the original halogens for now.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this or help to fix? Much appreciated!

I am currently at my GM dealer in Vancouver BC Canada

They cannot resolve the Hyperflash created by LED SIGNAL/ PARK/ BRAKE LIGHT change over. I am forced to go to the aftermarket ie Amazon to alleviate the issue with pigtail inline resistors.

No GM solution to Hyperflash from LED 4 corner bulb replacement. Still cost me $110
