"I pay the $20 a month for unlimited WiFi because for $20 a month I can stream all I want to everyone in the car as much as I want (I think after 22GB you are throttled) for an extra $20 a month on my Verizon plan, I'd only be getting 2GB more so it was definitely worth getting the Wi-Fi plan in my circumstance since I've already used 8GB each month the past two months. Plus, my daughter can use her tablet and I don't have to pay $10 a month extra to activate the cellular on it."

My dealer says At&t has some kind of partnership with the WI-FI and if you already have a unlimited phone plan with them you get the WI-FI on your truck turned on for next to nothing  ! I don't think you get any breaks with a verizon Plan

No breaks for Verizon, unfortunately. But I think with AT&T it's $10 a month for the line access of the vehicle to share your existing data for your plan. For an extra $10 you get unlimited, and it is much easier to manage the plan through the Chevy App (On Star) than dealing with AT&T.

I wished I used it enough so that I would feel good paying for it , it would be nice if it worked while the truck was shut off , Then no doubt I would pay it !

I know.   Beat to death, but I’ll ask again for those like me to hear again.

i have a cell phone with unlimited talk/data plan.  What else does $240/year get me?
If you have att, you can add your truck to your plan for 10 per month. Your truck will become one of your devices!

I am definitely in the minority but I don't mind the GM NAV.  I push the talk button on the steering wheel, say "navigation - address", and speak the address I want to go to.  The NAV routes it without any problems (but you do need to press "Go" on the touchscreen or on the DIC to accept the directions).  I don't have traffic service but most of the places I go if I hit traffic there isn't an easy reroute anyway so I just deal with it or at that point I get out my phone and use Waze.

With all that being said I will NEVER pay for map updates -- this is a ridiculous move by ALL the vehicle manufacturers.  Right now my maps are only 2 years old and are mostly correct but I know someday I'm going to try to go somewhere that is not on the old maps then I will need to use my phone and data ....

Not sure on the mileage question, but your GPS is not reliant on WiFi. My truck has the GM navigation and I think it sucks balls. I’d much rather use google or Apple maps. More known addresses and faster recognition in my experience. Also, I purchased an update for my factory Nav a year after I bought it and it was the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. Unless there have been HUGE improvements made to it since then, I will never give GM another dime for their crappy Nav system.

Agree!  The GM Nav is the only thing on this truck I actually hate.  Anytime nav is needed I rely on my Garmin GPS or WAZE using Car Play.
