After someone sued and won against McDonald’s for having Hot coffee. I’ve seen strange warning labels. This reminds me of a classmate in the seventies during the gas shortage. He tried to get gas out of a car with a vacuum cleaner. Didn’t go well. I haven’t bought a vacuum cleaner lately. I imagine somewhere in the manual it’s mentioned.

Just curious, did your classmate survive?  I knew a guy some 30 odd years ago that thought removing rusty straps from a gas tank with a torch would save some time, he survived but was left horribly disfigured. Made such an impression on me that when I had to replace the fuel pump/sender on a 04 Bonneville that I forked over the money for a Kent-Moore specialty tool for the locking ring rather than use a flat blade screwdriver and hammer as most people do.

It burnt up the vacuum cleaner. His hands a little and the back of the car.
