Just talked to 2019 Sierra Owner

Recommended Posts

Wow, that looks great.  I'm thinking Silverado this round.

Almost has a Nascar look to the front end. The Chevy looks mean and low from that angle.

Ugh, maybe it's cause of all the chrome but think I'll stick with my 2015. I was really looking forward to the 2019 reveal but not impressed (aesthetically) by either the Sierra or Silverado.

Couldn't disagree more!

I guess sales numbers will tell who is right. It will be interesting to note month to month sales of (2019) Silverado/Sierras for the same period as a year prior. Also-it will be interesting to see if Ford numbers are further ahead than they already are. It used to be when you combined Silverado/Sierra sales the numbers with Ford were pretty close-that's no longer the case-Ford has significant more sales.

I would buy the new Sierra-even though I don't think the redesign is great-and as I have already stated IMHO the Silverado is downright ugly.

I just priced a 2018 F150 to see what the price difference was for their diesel.  It turns out if you want the 3.0 diesel in the F150 it is a $12k price increase just for the diesel engine.  To me that is steep.  It will be interesting to see what it will be if and when GM releases the facts/stats on their diesel for the Silverado and Sierra.

I don't know if there is a right or wrong to someones opinion.  I firmly believe the 07-13 Silverados are the all time worst trucks GM ever made.  Real tough to be a fan of theirs when that's what they offered, but buyers were more loyal then and they were cheap.

Over the last few years they really increased their price.  Only Ram holds on to the super bargain price.

I have a 2012, I want to trade in when the 2020's come out but not sure i can afford them. I am working on saving money towards one now. My 2012 is denali hd crew cab short bed with the dmax and it just turned 22k on the odo. I want the same thing, but a 2020.

Sorry, men, but this is one ugly truck.  The strange shape of the fender wells, F150-inspired headlights,  tacky fender vents,  big, ugly, over-styled mirrors,  ugly tailgate, ugly exhaust tips........overall, an ugly looking vehicle.

No reason to say sorry!  If we all had the same taste the highways would look pretty boring. I am always impressed with how two people can look at the same image and have opposing views.  IMO, the new Sierras and Silverados look great.  I would still not hesitate to buy an '18 if the need arises but I wouldn't avoid a '19.  I am looking forward to trying out the Turbo 4!

Yeah-but still better looking than the Silverado model!

Prediction-"Ford/RAM" numbers will increase substantially!

You’re right about the year models only thing is that I’ve heard that the mid nineties and early 2000’s had best everything, just what I heard. The Ram is a pc of [emoji90] and that’s (personal experience) why it’s much cheaper. Horrible crash test results and one of the worst overall for towing.

Not even close. The 19 Sierra looks horrible, the Silverado looks much better.

I'd like to see a few real pics of a Sierra Elevation, in crew cab.

That SLT is growing on me.  Like all new vehicles people gasp and first then a year later they lust for them.  If you love it from day 1, chances are they didn't think very far ahead with the design.

I will have to eyeball one in person to form a real opinion. I usually trade every year but may skip 2019 to see what happens. If they do not sell well the blood will flow and I can pick one up dirt cheap about mid 2020 LOL. I am kind of  fond of the 2018 Denali ultimate look cuz that is what i have right now obviously I am a bit biased.........
