new to forum! Need help with starting problem!

Recommended Posts

So I have a 2015 silverado 2500HD WT and it has 95k miles on it.  I have been having issues with starting in the last month.  One out of every 6 or 7 times I try to start it the truck hesitates and then starts.  I turn the key to on, nothing happens, and release it to the accessory position where it hesitates for a second or two and then cranks over.  Battery is good, so I went to the starter.  I pulled it and bench checked it and it failed at both the solenoid and the motor.  I replaced it and the problem still exists.  The starter is stronger for sure, but there is still a delay after I release the key.  It doesn't have remote start.  Someone suggested maybe a crankshaft position sensor but I'm not wanting to throw parts at it to find it.  Any suggestions/info/recommendations would be helpful!  Thank you!
