If you have a separate factory xm  tuner now it will plug right in. If you have the xm tuner built into factory radio module you you will need an aftermarket one since the factory radio module gets replaced.

I have no idea if I do.

There is a better option for what marv is trying to do.  Its just most people dont understand it.  I ordered one from marv. And ended up going a differant route

I like Alpine because it looks nicer than GM crap. I also have 2015 with older graphics.

I know that sounds dumb but aesthetics matter to me as well as function.

I decided to go with an all out fully active competition level system and this doesn't have the tuning capabilities I need so I am adding a Mosconi processor and could use the dough from this for. other mods. I am however now considering keeping this and adding the processor since it looks waaaay better than the basic radio I had.

I've chatted with him about that and unfortunately  there is no way around swapping the dash cluster and hmi as well as adding wires into the harness behind the dash.

Forgot to mention that while fielding all of the questions I got a chance to really get to know this headunit and realize it has a ton of great features I would miss out on so I'm going to keep it and add on the processor. Thanks for all the interest and if anyone looking to get one of these has any questions before buying just  let me know!
