Since you did not say where you live (guessing Canada), it can't been done in the USA because one light can not be brighter than the other while both are functioning (turn signal on). We are easily distracted here.

I just found a way to have DRLs stay on when turn signals are activated.
It takes an AutoSync dongle and a BTDiesel mod, but, it is possible (I just found this yesterday - so many mods on the BTDiesel and AutoSync stuff!)

Also, with Autosync and BTDiesel, one can set an all-up window switch with the child lock button.
It can, also, be programmed to all down, express, but I can do that with my keyfob, already, so the one-button windows-up was what I chose - it's not express, for safety reasons so one has to hold that button down during the process.

Wish that someone in my neighborhood could program mine to do this.

Well, it's not programmable without the AutoSync dongle for the OBD connector and the BTDiesel tuning (HMI and BCM unlock).
I haven't checked to see if the programming remains when I pull the dongle, I'll check tomorrow,
It's kinda like your sig, Chris, "I'd rather have it and NOT need it, rather than need it and NOT have it." :)

Here's a short video of DRLs on with turn signals. I have turn signal lights on my tow mirrors so, hopefully the DRLs won't distract any one from seeing the turn signals ... SQUIRREL!

Found out today, that if your headlight knob is in "AUTO," and you turn your wipers ON (to anything other than OFF and NOT windshield washer) for more than a second or two, your headlights automatically turn ON.

Cool, Chris! I'm going to check that out tomorrow (it's dark now) :)

Yeah, I only had my interior/dash indications to go off of.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), I've modified the BCM to have my running lights on the tow mirrors always on during the day, along with the DRLs  so my headlight indicator is always on, even in the day.
It seems, now, I can only tell when the headlights turn on, in low light, is by the infotainment dimming, or going back to brighter when they turn off.
Still haven't had a chance to check this cool discovery but it will be raining a lot tomorrow.
To be fair, though, I, also, modified the light intensity of the sensor on the dash to more quickly turn on the headlights in low-light conditions so very cloudy skies sometimes already trigger the headlights to come on.
I'm tellin' ya, there are so many mods for the BCM and BTDiesel, I still find something new after so many months. :)

Try it with the HIGHs on.

Man am I old. I can remember wiring a car with a dozen wires. A bike with six.

Yeah, but then, the headlights would already be on?

NO, daytime in AUTO, the headlights are OFF, even with the turn signal stock in HIGH BEAMS.  When you turn the wipers on, after a few seconds, your headlights will turn ON and be able to notice it, because the HIGHs are ON, because the HIGH BEAM indicator will come on.
