Man I'd love to overland my truck in the desert (Moab is on my check list). I've got a small lift (2.5" front, 1" rear) and 33's so I could get away with it, but I wouldn't say it qualifies as an overland truck until I figure out something for the bed (tent? cap?). I restored a 1997 Wrangler a few years ago, but sold it last year. That was a real trail rig and I'd love to get another one. The Sierra Denali would only see open land overlanding and no tight trails/rocks only because it's so pricey (and pretty). Def want to do another Jeep build but that'll hold off until next year. Here's what I built...was bone stock to start. 3.5" lift, 35" mud terrains, quick disconnect sway bar, and the list goes on...

That's sweet, leitner designs has a cool rail topper if you're looking for something open But I went topper because I go camping and like to keep all my stuff dry haha I still use a ground tent because I like driving to other places while camping. But these trucks can do a lot more than people think, i just wish the suspension wasnt un godly stiff. Let's see the truck!

Next projects are adding the intake cover over the manifold, installing my recently ordered catch can, and possibly doing traction bars (get wheel hop on WOT due to my tuning/upgrades). Topper makes sense to keep everything dry, I've been camping during torrential downpours and it sucks! Let me and us know if you end up getting them. Theres a thread on here about them but everyone on the thread seemed to not even know what icon was so theres that. Ducky
Any updates to your builds? I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my RTT on my truck year round or on my M416 trailer. Or Sell it and get a Hardtop RTT and keep it on the truck. I'm very good at not committing to a plan when it comes to building out my truck. Been looking into rtt and don't see many mounting options for our trucks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now I need to save up for the pods for the rack for storage.
hendersonc047
No updates so far, still saving money..... never ends... Also, going on vacations and stuff cuts into it. Having fun while I can! Honestly the rack is dope, the only trouble I have with rtt's is that I cant drive anywhere after I have my camp set up but that's just me. Leitner is dope!
hendersonc047
In addition, I've been reading a lot about cold air intakes. I've read all the threads and stuff on here. There are two sides, one being that they make the intakes efficient enough and that the cold air intakes are bogus, the other side being that they are 100% better. Do you guys happen to have any knowledge on them? I just want to know from people who actually use them on our trucks. And also if it is worth the upgrade? Thanks guys. Madcow2020
They do make everything sound better. There has been tests that show slight increases. Don’t get an oiled one. Use the factory filter or an oilers one. Oh did I mention I like the throatier sound mine gave the truck. I think the biggest gain will be seen with an exhaust. They factory ones are much better now than the ones in the past. You could always just get the tube that replaces the factory one and it frees up space makes the engine compartment look better, oh and sounds better. I think I covered the topic. Mine is a coolant MIT Kit with the non oiled drop in filter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
