L83 Ecotec3 aftermarket Intake Manifold?

Recommended Posts

At a car show today I got a wild hair and wanted to see if anyone (Holley, Edelbrock) offered any aftermarket bolt on Intake Manifolds and came up short. I spoke to a tech representative from Holley and he said that because the L83 is LS based and that because it shares the same Cathedral ports as the LS1 that you could bolt on an LS intake manifold of the same displacement with no issues. Has anyone attempted this? I was looking at the Holley Sniper manifolds but am concerned with clearance.

Probably should have mentioned that the truck has cooks headers, high flow cats, Corsa touring exhaust, and MSD ignition, cold air, and has been tuned by my local speed shop. Gonna talk to them Monday and see if they recommend something, I want to clean up the engine bay, already have my new alternator coming from DC Power and I am not a huge fan of the Plastic intake Manifold. I'll let you know what they say.

Nasty- The coils, The plugs, and the wires.

Yeah I get it, when Spoke to the holley Rep he said that they would include something to plug the fuel ports. I see the MSD AIRFORCE intake manifold for the LT1 engines specifically for the GDI engines. was just hoping there was an alternative there. I wanted some intake setup that helped with the low end more so than the high end. I figured upgrading the manifold/ throttle body was the next logical step after cams. Like I said I am gonna talk to the speed shop and ask what they suggest. I'm sure there will be more options in the next couple of years.
