BOSE speaker system: need Wiring diagram please.

Recommended Posts

    Hi, I have a 2003 Suburban 1500.

It has the BOSE Premium speaker system. (Sound system feature, Bose Premium speaker system, 9 speakers-inc: subwoofer in center console)

Can someone give me the stereo wiring diagram? I'm installing an aftermarket stereo.

I have seen several diagrams, but they are not correct for my system. My system has a GRY/BLK wire on the stereo wiring harness, and its for the "radio mute". Other diagrams said GRY/BLK was a speak wire. On this setup its NOT a speaker wire.

Please help if ya can, thanks.

I need you to  look in your glove box and there is a label in it. I need to know if that label has Y91 on it. Or you can give me the Vin number.

Here is the schematic with UQ7 and Y91. If it doesn't have Y91 it will be a different schematic.

    Here is what I tried:

    Vehicle                             Alpine  Stereo

    ORN                      >>>     Battery lead

    Cig lighter            >>>     Accessory

    WHT/BLK            >>>     Ground

    TAN                      >>>     Front SP (L) +

    DK GRN               >>>     Front SP (L) --

    PNK                     >>>     Power Antenna lead

I get a constant "white noise" sound, but its VERY loud (might be FM radio static, no antenna hooked up), and plays though bother front speakers. It can be adjusted by volume, but always pretty loud, even on very low volume. The button "beeps" are VERY loud. No audio at all on DVD, not even button beeps.

My vehicle harness does not have a grey wire like it shows on the chart above.

I cant get this to work. Why is TAN supposed to be hooked to low level audio, AND speaker + ??? I don't under stand. Here is my wiring on the Alpine. PLEASE tell me what to hook up where. I have several hours into this. I feel like a cave man trying to build a space ship out of twigs and rocks.

You are absolutely correct. I have installed so many aftermarket radios in vehicles without them. But I installed one in my daughters tahoe which had Bose and it had the same problem you are having. I had to install one of those boxes to get rid of the noise and it still didn't get rid of all the noise, only about 90% of it. I ended up also having to install a noise filter in the ground side. It was EMI from the radio through the amp causing the noise.

It is the GMOS-04 you need. Let me see if I can get a link.
