Is accessorizing your truck something that you are currently interested and/or investing in?  Hell ya!
IF YES: What is your to top priority when choosing accessories for your truck? (Quality/Price/Look/Reviews) - 100% performance gains
IF NO:  Why not? (No time/money, inexperience, no vehicle)
Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products? (YES or NO) -- Negative reviews and I'm out...
Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all? -- No, that would be a return...

Yes, simply because I love working on my truck to make it better in any way I can.  I don't usually do a lot, but just little changes that make it a better experience for me to drive or use.

  2. Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products? (YES or NO)    NO, have bought enough low priced items that fail.   I always check the higher quality offerings.  Thinking of Sylvania headlight bulbs, I have purchased the SilverStars.
  3. Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all?   NO, not usually.   It must work well.

1. No, no time and pretty happy with the way it currently is.

2. I would not buy cheaper, I read reviews and base a lot of purchasing decisions on them.

3. Looks has its place, depends on what is is. Example, if it is a cool light housing, but the light is dim and easily modified to put a brighter one in then probably buy to modify it and use it.

Is accessorizing your truck something that you are currently interested and/or investing in?

Yes. I accessorize the truck to the point where it has the features I wish to have on my vehicle but not to the point where I am sinking money into a vehicle that I will never see back.

Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products?

Yes but only if I was sure that I was not compromising functionality.

Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all?

No. Function above all.

You bet I live in the winter wonderland of Western New York,Well designed Mud flaps, floor mats, and Bed liners are a must! Extra set of flood lights come in handy on snowy winter nights!

2) No ....It is been my experience that purchasing cheaper (and let that also read poorly designed items also) cost you far grief and aggravation! I do value the opinions of others in reviews but but reviews are only a small part of how make the final decision to purchase an item!

3) No ....Base all of my purchase on functional design and best quality materials!

  1. Is accessorizing your truck something that you are currently interested and/or investing in? Yes.  Quality has to be oem or better.  Options that improve function take priority over cosmetic enhancements.
  2. Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products? No for cheaper items with poor reviews and yes to better quality products
  3. Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all? Accessory needs to enhance or improve my truck. Everything needs to work well on my truck or it gets repaired/replaced.

  1. Is accessorizing your truck something that you are currently interested and/or investing in?
Yes. I will always be looking to tastefully accessorize my truck, and am currently doing so a little at a time.
  2. Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality product?                         Yes I would. However, I will do some research before I do. Whether that be past purchase reviews or video reviews or forum reviews.
  3. Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all?                           No. If something looks good but doesn't work and serve its purpose I will not be wasting my money on it, even if it is from a well known supplier.

1.) Absolutely. It's one of my main reasons for financing my truck over leasing it. I guess I would say top priority is a great price/quality ratio. I don't want anything dirt cheap built with terrible quality, and obviously you can throw absurd amounts of money out and get products that are built with the utmost quality. I'm looking for affordable quality. I do base most purchases on heavily reading reviews, though.

2.) It depends on what the negative reviews entailed. If they were just nitpicking the product, well - you general get what you pay for, I wouldn't be expecting perfection. But in general, no... For most accessories, unless there is a crazy difference in price (50-60% more expensive) I will generally steer towards higher quality.

3.) Nope. I think if anything, the opposite is more true. Function over form is the way to go.

Thanks! I could use a few lights for my truck!

IF YES: What is your to top priority when choosing accessories for your truck? (Quality/Price/Look/Reviews) - Yes absolutely.  I am always looking to add for either appearance or to add functionality.  While the 2 are not mutually exclusive, I would not say add something purely to have "a look".  For example the popular roof rack and accompanying light bars added to trucks/SUVs.  While I think they look cool, and would love to have one I will not add one to have it.  I would need to have a practical reason to have it before I would go down that route.
IF NO:  Why not? (No time/money, inexperience, no vehicle)
  2. Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products? (YES or NO) - It really would have to depend on what I was trying to do.  Typically I will read reviews and in my mind categorize the negative ones.  Are their reasons valid, are they looking for it to do something it is totally not capable, or are they being unrealistic.  If I see the same theme reoccurring over and over, such as say bulbs burning out constantly then I will take a pass.
  3. Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all? - No not at all.  I want something that works and serves a purpose.  I think my answer to question one covers off my opinion.

Thanks so much!

Yes, I am currently Rebuilding a '92 K2500 454 EXCAB / LB. And I am currently investing towards aftermarket parts such as new stereo system, LED lights throughout new headliner with speakers a light bar etc. And Quality is whats most important at this point in time.
