Cranking your t-bars


Why would you crank up your torsion bars?

ME.......I have to give them a few cranks to gain a couple of

inches in the winter for ground clearance when I strap on that

snow plow to work that puppy.

I have the crossmember and bolt heads punchmarked so I can

lower it back down in summer to reg. height.................geo

Sound like my dad with his truck. He just measures each side of the exposed adjustment bolts and right down on the frame with a piece of soap stone the amount then lowers it back down at the end of snow pushing season.

BDB.........Yea my new Western Ultra-Mount sure is low!

Don't stack snow worth shucks like my old hard mount western

did on my 97. Sure is a PIA gettin hung up at 4 am in the

blizzard out here in Podunk !

So I bought me one of those portable electric

winches that plugs into the power port ! That bad boy and

my 2- 25 ft. tow chains solves that problem REAL quick !

 

I just hook up to any handy & sturdy object....... pole, car, tree whatever !
