The official ordering, production & delivery thread - 2019 Silverado / Sierra

It just amazes me how this Covid thing has completely screwed them up. GM is a shadow of it's former self!
Seems like all car manufacturers fall under that statement with the way things are now

I attached what my dealer forwarded me for my 2021, pricing isn't available yet. I'm wondering how some of these packages are going to break down. I guess they pieced that based off the 2020 I submitted for order on 6/12

Spoke to my dealer today. Chevy is currently telling them that it takes between 3-4 weeks of transit for the vehicle to get to the Baltimore Port from Mexico once it is loaded on the ship.. Then add at least another week or two on top of that once it reaches the Baltimore Port to get to the dealership.

So far my timeline has been:

6/22 - Order placed with Chevy

7/28 - Notified that the truck was built - supplied with VIN

8/4 - Truck released from Salio, MX plant in route to Tuxpan, MX port

8/13 - Truck shipped from Tuxpan, MX in route to Baltimore, MD port

8/25 - Truck still in transit to Baltimore, MD (ETA 3-4 weeks from shipping date)

No ETA to dealership

Hope this helps put into perspective wait times for those with trucks ordered and inbound.

You'll see it in September, imo. My truck was in Baltimore the first week of July, but didn't arrive at my dealership in Chesapeake, VA until July 28th. It was almost a full 4 weeks.

Just received a text that my truck has arrived in Baltimore! Wasn't expecting an update so soon. Hopefully it doesn't sit there for weeks collecting rain.

The dealer did say they have the truck marked as "HOT"... Hopefully that matters for something.

The next step is to have a car transport assigned to it. That could take a few weeks. Then, once it is assigned out could take another week or 2 before it gets delivered. Just going of my experience last month. Hopefully yours is better.

Hey guys.  Congrats on the new trucks.  I put a deposit on a '20 AT4 diesel yesterday that the dealer said would be on the lot in less than a week.  I was relieved because I need the truck by 9th as I'm leaving town for a couple months.

I had GMC customer care send me the build sheet and was bummed to see that the build date is 8-19-20.

Am I correct to assume that this truck won't arrive to my dealer in St. Joseph, Missouri until the end of September at the earliest?

I guess I'll get my deposit back and start looking for a 2021 in November.

Where is it being built? Mexico, you're definitely not getting it in time. Indiana, it depends.

Build sheet says "build plant G" which is Silao, Mexico.  I'm calling to get my deposit back tomorrow.  Found an AT4 diesel at a different dealer that is actually on the lot.  Premium color and has Sunroof and Carbon Pro so going to cost me a couple grand more if I decide to buy it.  Can't believe I am even considering paying this much for a 1/2 ton.

I just closed my eyes and relaxed while the dealer had its way with me and took my money like a prostitute. It hurt, but I got what I wanted.

Have you shopped at Laura gmc near St Louis?  Lots of inventory and good discounts.

So I went to my local dealer about 3 weeks ago and Utica New York and told them that I wanted a Pacific blue metallic at4 with a 6.2. Just was unsure I will options that I wanted. Come to find out in 2021 they're swapping it Pacific blue metallic for cardinal red in the at4, so I had to hurry and find a 2020.

Come to find out the Pacific blue metallic paint with a 6.2 is hard to find. They are either sold or even delivered to dealers sold already. I ended up finding one out in Buffalo New York that was coming into a dealer. It was fully loaded. Got a better deal on a lease than a buy. Traded in my old 2007 ive owned since new. Looking forward to find ways to make this truck my own, of course with the lease limits lol. Picked it up last Saturday and and very impressed. This is coming from a truck that didn't have traction control or any kind of cameras LOL. Bunch to find out yet with it. This forum seems to be the spot thst has a lot of info. Going to do some reading.

Traded in truck on work tires of course:
