I too hope this is true!

Good luck. I hope you see your truck soon.

Can I ask when your dealership placed your order?

The order was placed third week of June... totally didn’t expect to hear I would be at production code 3400 yet. My guy at the dealership said I’m not the only one he heard this happen to in the last week. Guessing it has something to do with adding workers to the plants.

I’ll be checking in on it next week to see if it’s actually true. Could mean good things for everyone waiting.

After nearly 5 months since it was ordered, it's finally here! Will get more pics tomorrow when the correct wheels are put on and cleaned up.

2 weeks is turning into 3 weeks, maybe longer. Every Tuesday in checking in with my sales rep to find out the status of my truck. Last update was that it was "In port and assigned a truck". He thought it would be in by the end of this week. I guess not. Looks like I get to call him Tuesday, again, and ask for another update.

In other news, either GM or my dealership has their head up their arse. I placed an order through accessories.chevrolet.com over a week ago. Now the dealership can't find it. When i try to contact people via email or phone, I get the run around or ignored. I have to make a 30 minute drive to stand in front of them to get answers. I'm about ready to walk away from the whole deal.

Just received a text from my dealership. Truck is built and I have a VIN!

Only problem is it looks like it's coming from Mexico, not Indiana. I have read on here people waiting for weeks / months for trucks to come in from the Mexican plant. In the text it says expected date of 8/14 but I'm not going to hold my breath. Fingers crossed!

Great news...

I just checked mine, no production week yet.

I was not aware they assembled trucks in Mexico. just manufactured certain parts..humm

I hope you take delivery soon.

BTW, what did you order?

My sales rep just notified me that my truck arrived at the dealership today. It's currently in line for pre-delivery inspection. It'll then head over to service to have the GM Accessories dash camera system installed. I'm hoping I'll be able to drive it home tomorrow or Wednesday.

I was just talking to the sales guy... He said there was a delay in the Salio, Mexico plant a few weeks / months back. There was some type of delay getting them on the boat but he believes that has been resolved now. I did a bunch of research on the trucks coming from Mexico vs Fort Wayne, Indiana ( the two places they make 1500's) seems like it's luck of the draw on the quality.

I hope it comes through the way he expects it to.... Also hope you get word on yours soon as well!

I have a TrailBoss 6.2 Midnight Edition in black coming. Really excited!

It will be my first GM in almost 15 years. I've owned Fords, Chevy's and a GMC in my early years, but have been in the Toyota Tacoma lease rotation since 08. Absolutely love the Tacoma for so many reasons. Very excited to be back in a full size V8 though. Haven't had much to do in the way of mods on the Tacos. Looking forward to getting back into customizing.

Until I need to park in the city... Then I guess I'll use the wife's car lol.

Awesome!!! Good luck!!!! Be sure to look it over good.

My father always told me never take ownership of a truck at night or in the rain. I've had some sales guys look at me like I was crazy for that.

You had more guts then me!

I wanted my black truck back really bad but at the last moment, I just couldn't do it..

I hope I don't come to regret that decision but I know me, I just won't drive it.

I'm a fanatic, I build custom Harley's and anything else I get my hands on.

My obsession with black started with a '90 454SS and a few black trucks since.

I have a 6.2 Silver Dbl Cab right now and just can't go back.

I ordered another Dbl Cab, 6.2 RST in Satin Silver Metallic..

Nothing looks as good as black but good luck with that..

I can't wait to see it...

Tell that dealership not to touch the exterior and immediately take it to a reputable detailer and have it ceramic protected, I swear by it......

I ran to the dealership to get the last accessory that I ordered -- sport bar. While loading the box into my (wife's) Traverse I noticed this truck 2 rows away. Once I was loaded up, I walked over and looked at it. It's mine! I got to see and touch it, but haven't been inside it, nor driven it yet. In fact, I haven't driven any Silverado in over 15 to 20 years. I feel like this is a huge gamble. I hope I like it. Seeing the truck did remove any concerns about the towing mirrors. I love them. 4c6f871079041be1d1232fa397067c93.jpg388c44b1e5b14482a21c0b98e8b057f3.jpg

Congrats! Very Nice! I like the blue as well...

My buddy tried talking me into getting the tow mirrors too but I opted against them. They don't look bad at all though and I'm sure I'll wish I had them when I tow the camper.  Good luck with it!

The tow mirrors are awesome even when your not towing. Seeing EVERYTHING behind you and the blind spots all at once is amazing. Just note that if you have the blind spot detection system that it can be a little a little laggy in letting you know that someone is there.

I can’t argue that... thanks for the heads up on the BSM system. In the truck I’m coming from it works very well.

My dealer placed my order for a 2020 Silverado 1500 LTZ on 6/12. No confirmation number as of yet. They said they literally know nothing right now and told me I might have to go with a 2021. I’m 2 months over my Sierra lease and just signed (the max) another 2 month extension.  I’m hoping GM works with me here while I wait.

So my dealer just called me and said they will not be able to get to my truck and a 2021 has to be ordered. They will be released and available to configure and order in 2-3 weeks. He said the bright side (if there is one) is that since I have an order in the system, the 2021 will get moved higher on the list and the expectation is an October delivery....wonder how much pricing is going to change.
