Is there a way to find the build date? I’m used to Fords being on the window sticker. This is my first GM in awhile. Thanks.

Check your door jamb, should have a month year. For an exact date you would need the build sheet

Latest update via ChevyChat is that my truck is at event code 3400 and being built this week. As soon as it is assigned a VIN# the service rep. on ChevyChat said I will start getting a report via email every day that will update me on the status of the truck until it gets to the dealer I ordered it from. Once the VIN# is assigned I will be able to see which plant it was built at.

Just checked and my order is at 3300 with TPW still at 12/31/18.   Asked what the Christmas shutdown schedule was but they said they did not know.   Also told me all crew cabs are produced in Mexico, but I think they were just reading GM info, because they then said they didn’t know if it would be produced in Fort Wayne or Mexico.   Also added me to email list for status of order sent out every Friday since I am within 2 weeks of TPW.  The wait is killing me.   Ordered NorthSky blue LTZ Z71 loaded up.

Believe it or not I ran into a GM exec yesterday that works in Detroit! So after talking for a bit I asked him if he had access to see what is going on with my order. He said no problem, he can see everything that is going on, he just needed to get in front of his work computer. He is going to let me know where it is being built at, what day production starts and if there is any constraints. I will post an update as soon as he lets me know!

Just talked to the GM guy and he says my truck is currently on the line being built in Ft. Wayne. So I should have a VIN issued here soon! I asked him about when Mexico starts the new builds and he said he could not comment on that. At least the transport time from Indiana to Illinois should be quick!

I got an email stating my TPW is still 12/31/2018 but can change with plant schedule.  I'm thinking that it will not be built that week, or at least not started until Jan, 2 2019 if that is when the plant gets back online after the holiday break.  I'm supposed to get another email on the 31st so we shall see.

The shutdown is until 1/2/19. They will be back building trucks next Wednesday

Can you ask him two things?

1. Will the trailboss be available with the 6.2 in the future
2. When will 2020 MY truck ordering start

Thanks!

So I was building a truck today online and came across this option.  What is included?  I assume its the trailboss 2" lift but what all is part of the pkg besides installation

Suspension Upgrade Systems $1,295.00

I would assume that the suspension upgrade is included with the Trail Boss but would be required if you wanted to add the 2" lift to another model. e.g. LTZ, High Country

The 2" lift is standard on the Trail Boss Models, not exactly sure what the suspension upgrade system is
